This Colourful Dehradun Wedding Gave Us 15 Steal-Worthy Ideas You'll Love!

Sanchita Kalra, 23 Mar 2017

Set against the backdrop of lush green hills in Dehradun, Saurabh and Sridevi's colourful wedding was nothing short of a fantastical affair. Sri and Sau, that’s how they both are known as amongst their friends and family and which was also their wedding hashtag #SriSau, met in Delhi during their post-graduation days in Delhi for the first time. But it was only after a couple of meetings, they fell in love and dated for 7 years before tying the knot.

Both Sri and Sau come from a fashion background and wanted to plan their colour-coordinated looks, the quirky mehendi decorations and lot of other wedding elements as well! The result? A fun-filled colourful wedding with a lot of ideas to steal!

Here’s what we loved the most about their wedding:

This bride's pink ombre lehenga with heavy tassels is a pure delight

The groom colour coordinated his outfit with the bride by wearing a pink sherwani!

The typical phoolon ki chaadar replaced this DIY white lace umbrella

Since both the bride and groom are animal lovers, it was decided not to have a horse entry. Therefore, he opted for this cool ATV entry

This cute little boy (sarbala) also colour coordinated the outfit with the groom

PS: Don't miss groom's purple safa with pink sherwani!

All the friends and family wrote #SriSau on their hands with mehendi!

The groom's super cute text to his wife-to-be just before the wedding!

The bride's mirror image shot next to her mom's picture holding her when she was born. Aww! <3

Some lehenga inspiration from the sister-of-the-groom for the sister-of-the-grooms (or brides!)

The decor that we can't stop talking about - Origami, kettles, dreamcatchers, flowers in glass buckets. Plus, the quirky 'sanskari ladki' and 'proper patola' signs. And the all-yellow mandap!
