This is the third post in the series on Purva & Shivam’s Real Wedding
All of us here at ShaadiSaga were waiting, waiting, looking at the clock, gazing out the window, waiting for the wedding photos to drop into our inbox.
Vintage Nutters X Shaadi Squad = Dream Team!
The decor company, Vintage Nutters, is run by the bride & her BFF, Shreya. Add to that the planners behind Shaadi Squad (remember that cute Bombay bridal shower they did?) and we knew this big fat Jaipur wedding was going to be magical. We just wanted to see how magical :)
When the theme for the youngster’s party aka Cocktail is Boho Chic Love Fest, you can imagine how spectacular it looked and how much fun everyone had! The details and photos were way too many to share in this post, so we’ve done a separate post on the English wedding vibe cocktail night. Psst...there are aztec table covers, a fabulous dessert table & a super unique stage backdrop that you’ve got to see!
Since it was a decorator’s wedding, every event had to have a special theme! The haldi revolved around a Gypsy Bride theme, with pretty dreamcatchers made out of gota, pom poms and ghungroos, and a tree installation with ghungroo-bangle bunches.
Purva wore a gorgeous yellow lehenga by Gazal Gupta, that was paired with this unique blue jewellery set that we LOVED! The bride actually bought the jewellery BEFORE the outfit, and made sure the lehenga complemented the stunning set! <3 <3 <3 More mehendi DETAILS HERE!
Shivam didn’t want to go overboard with wearing a co-ordinated outfit, so he chose a peach salwar to match the peach embroidery on Purva’s blouse.
The Kitschy-themed decor, the awesome giveaways and the food counters, there are SO many more details to love from the Mehendi that it needs a whole other post. Come back to see the special Mehendi post!
The bride chose a pastel lehenga by Payal Singhal for her Sangeet. She completed the look with a simple, small maang tikka and soft waves in her hair.
For the decor, an art deco style installation made for the stage backdrop, while a floral canopy and light bulbs on sticks created the entry way.
And they had a 50-feet long barrel bar of food!
Purva & Shivam kept it simple with their pre-wedding shoot at Panna Meena ka Kund, Jaipur. There were no outfit changes, no props. Just the bride & groom in elegant monotone outfits, befitting the monotone palette of the location.
They were the quintessential Sabyasachi couple, with the bride & groom in co-ordinated florals! <3
The decor used a colour palette of peaches and hot pinks, to play off the bougainvillaea flowers that were in full bloom at the venue. There were arch lanterns strung all over to incorporate the natural arches in the architecture of the palace.
And hello, bougainvillaea phoolon ki chaadar!
For the high-tea part of the evening, sushi(!) was served along with an array of chaats and pizzas. At the end of the wedding, the couple ended up having a sit-down dinner with their friends on this spectacular table set with copper utensils, that played off the copper tones of the palace!
Shaadi Squad Review from Vintage Nutters: They [Shaadi Squad] are like extended family. They have been supporting pillars of this big fat destination wedding. They made sure that everything was super duper smooth. And even if we something went wrong during the celebrations, we didn't even get to know because they handled it so well and perfectly!
