Bollywood singer Shalmali Kholgade has officially tied the knot with her long time boyfriend, Farhan Shaikh. The couple got hitched in a private ceremony held at the singer's home on 22nd November, in the presence of their closest friends and family.

Introducing Shalmali Kholgade & Farhan Shaikh

Singing sensation Shalmali Kholgade married her boyfriend of 6 years, Farhan Shaikh in an intimate ceremony on 22nd November at her Mumbai home. The nuptials will be followed by a grand bash that the couple will throw on 1st December to celebrate with their friends and loved ones. 

Shalmali posted pictures of her wedding with Farhan on Social media with the caption, "We had precisely the kind of wedding we had hoped to have. In the living room of our home with our parents and siblings, a few aunts and cousins!"

The simplicity and elegance of the wedding were highly appreciated by people who also congratulated the couple online, stating the absence of the regular 'Bollywood Razzmaatazz' was refreshing. 

Shalmali was dressed in a gorgeous orange handloom saree with a bird motif. Farhan, on the other hand, dressed up in a simple orange kurta for the wedding ceremony. One of the most interesting things about the couple's wedding was their jaimala. Made with orange and white pompoms and polaroid pictures of the couple, the jaimalas were quite unique and fun addition to the celebrations. 

Shalmali and Farhan’s intimate wedding took place as per Hindu rituals, where the couple was all smiles for their first post-wedding pictures. 

Sources close to the couples revealed that the two wished to hold a low-key ceremony, choosing to keep their big day private and minimalistic, "The original plan was only to have a registered wedding, but they eventually also went in for some rituals at their home for the convenience of their parents. They also exchanged rings on the same day."

The ceremony was attended by just 15 people, ensuring that the couple had fun without any worries.
