Which is why, Sarthak and Arshita’s cute love story and their picturesque wedding in the land of serendipity- Sri Lanka clicked us at one go and instantly got us here, penning this blog.

Exquisitely planned and decorated by the team of Shanqh Luxury Events, Sarthak and Arshita’s wedding in Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka was a feast for the eyes. Whether it was their indoor Mehendi that was beautifully drenched in colors, the high-spirited Haldi that got all the guests into the festive mood or the voguish wedding that saw the groom making a sassy entry on a vintage car, we can’t stop gushing over any of the details from their dreamy wedding.

Sarthak and Arshita's Wedding Ceremonies

The Shaandar Welcome Entry

On reaching the wedding venue, Sarthak and Arshita, along with their family members, made a dhamakedaar dhol entry, wherein everyone was seen groovin' like crazy.

Arshita and Sarthak looked uber cute in their color coordinated outfits. And not to forget their larger than life #SaarSamundarPaar Hashtag installation that was put up on the enterance.

Intimate Mehendi

The celebrations commenced with a vibrant and cosy mehendi ceremony which was hosted indoors. The venue was beautifully set up. Suspended bulbs, colourful tassels & bangles tied on ropes, floral arrangements done with fresh roses & daisies, printed dance floor and pretty tablescapes were the key decor elements of the function. However, what stood out uniquely was the couple's alluring floral wreath sitting which was done with multi-hued flowers.

Keeping her look simple yet elegant, Arshita wore a stunning light-yellow chikankari sharara set. We loved how she did her hair in a side braid and accessorised her look with fancy chandbali earrings, a matching maang tikka and a statement ring. Sarthak, on the other hand, donned an intricately-sequinned beige Kurta with white pants.

Glitzy Engagement

For the engagement, the venue was decorated in hues of peach, white and green. While the entrance was done with peachy drapes and well-lit tables, the stage was all decked up with winsome elements like vintage storage drums, candle holder jars, wooden round barrel planters, candelabras and fresh white blooms with a lot of greens.

Adding more charm to the magical aura created by the decor were the couple's drool-worthy outfits. While Arshita opted for a blush pink lehenga with subtle gotta patti detailings, Sarthak picked a navy midnight blue tuxedo to compliment her well.

Effervescent Haldi & other Pre-wedding rituals

The Engagement was followed by a fun Haldi ceremony, which was hosted by the beachside lawns of the plush property. From the elegant DIY-able photobooth that was created using flowers, tree-branches and cascading glass bottles to the zesty rituals that saw everyone giggling, everything about this ceremony made our hearts flutter in awe.

Picturesque Wedding

On the wedding day, Sarthak made a dashing entry in a vintage car, while Arshita steered clear of all the taam-jham and walked down the aisle holding her dad's hand (So cute!)

The color scheme for the wedding was peach, white and green. The mandap was decorated in peachy drapes and pretty florals. What added some extra dose of charm to the traditional proceedings was the clear sky and the beachy backdrop.

Arshita looked breathtakingly beautiful as a bride in a statement Sabyasachi red lehenga with fine golden details. She accessorised her look with a heavy polki necklace, minimal earrings and a note-worthy maang tikka. Sarthak too made a dapper groom in an ivory and gold Sherwani, which he teamed with a beige safa and a double-stringed mala.

Lively Reception

Post their day wedding, Sarthak and Arshita hosted a jazzy reception in the night, which saw everyone dance, sing and laugh like maniacs. Arshita too dived into the fun mood and amazed the guests by taking over the dhol.
