“The great marriages are partnerships. It can’t be a great marriage without being a partnership.” – Helen Mirren.

We're all fans of the big fat Indian wedding. However, given the pandemic, we've seen a major shift towards more intimate wedding settings. And amongst these intimate settings are court marriages. Court marriages are one of the easiest and most hassle-free ways of getting hitched during COVID times. And this couple certainly proves it so! Scroll down below to check out their intimate wedding at a Mumbai court.

Introducing #PriyanotNitined- An Intimate Court Wedding

Before Priya and Nitin found each other through an online matrimonial platform, they never thought they'd even meet despite having mutual friends. However, thanks to the platform matching their profiles, the duo ended up finding a lot in common with each other. And soon, they were engaged!

Unfortunately, when the global pandemic struck, the couple's wedding celebrations, which were scheduled for December 2020, were postponed much like most of the couples at that time. So, after much contemplation, the couple decided to go in for court marriage to keep things as simple as possible.

"We faced a tonne of problems," Priya revealed, "However, we're so grateful to all the wedding vendors who cooperated with us and understood our problems when we decided to change the plan altogether."

Priya and Nitin's intimate wedding took place at Bandra court in Mumbai. The couple was accompanied by a few friends as witnesses and finally, they registered themselves as a married couple and got married! Since everything was done on a whim, Priya's court marriage outfit was a mix of jewellery from Natraj market in Malad while her attire was a custom made red and gold lehenga from Meraki by Nikki S. The groom, Nitin, on the other hand, wore a formal blazer and pant from Van Heusen.

Ending her narration, Priya also added a suggestion for all the brides out there who've been facing problems regarding postponing their wedding, "Don’t postpone your wedding as we don’t know when the Coronavirus gonna end instead go for court marriage or small functions with your loved ones and trust me court marriage was so much fun!"
