It's true when they say that there is someone for everyone to love. And you will find your perfect match when you are not looking for them. Maybe, because it's written in our destiny! And, just like that, destiny played a major role in Karishma and Rikin’s love story. From falling in love to long-distance dating and even a full-blown daily soap like drama that finally led to their marriage- the couple's seen it all!

A cute and quaint court marriage and a bunch of gorgeous homegrown pre-wedding functions, Karishma and Rikin's wedding is one for the books. Scroll down to check out their beautiful intimate wedding in Mumbai!

Introducing Karishma & Rikin

"Rikin and I met each other at work and became close friends in no time," Karishma recalled, "And as we got to know each other, we slowly started falling in love and started dating. However, life had other plans and due to work commitments, we had to take our relationship on a long-distance run."

After passing the long-distance test, the couple decided to finally take their journey to the next level and get married. However, convincing their parents wasn't exactly a cakewalk, "Rikin is a Hindu and I'm a Muslim, which meant that convincing our parents was tough. Now, his parent's were more open-minded about this, but mine was hesitant. We knew that convincing them wouldn't be easy, but we held strong."

Finally, after a lot of discussion and hesitation, along with what Karishma termed 'Hindi-serial like drama', the two families agreed to the wedding!

"We thought that we were past all our hurdles and we set to be married in June 2020," Karishma continued, "However, life had a lot more lemons in store! COVID-19 happened and our initial wedding plans went down the drain."

Fortunately, the couple still managed to hold their wedding despite the pandemic. Albeit the affair wasn't as grand as they had planned for, "Nevertheless, we got to enjoy our intimate functions with our closest people and that's all that mattered!"

Haldi

The haldi was a stunning intimate function held at the bride's house which was lined with yellow and orange agenda flowers. Karishma wore a gorgeous yellow outfit with 3D floral embroidery on the blouse from Meraki by Nikki S. She paired her outfit with floral jewellery and finished the look with a half tied curls and light makeup.

Mehendi

The mehendi ceremony was also held at Karishma's house with pretty floral decor that was enough to brightly light up the area. Karishma dressed up in a stunning mirror work outfit by Preeti S Kapoor along with dainty jewellery and a voluminous fishtail braid. Another part of her outfit, and the ceremony, was her intricately designed mehendi which was an amalgamation of various elements like peacocks, flowers, jaal designs and leaves.

Court Marriage

Due to the pandemic, the couple had to resort to a simpler version of getting married. So, they opted to have a court marriage to keep things easy for themselves. Once again, the couple coordinated their outfits, choosing to don red outfits with matching prints by designer label Drishti & Zahabia.
