This Men kurta style that dates back to the Mughal Era became a rage among grooms in 2018 and undoubtedly a much-needed one. Taking groom fashion a notch higher, these flared kurtas were a breath of fresh air and our grooms didn't shy away from donning them. Pairing them with either Nehru jackets or a long bandhgalas, they looked royal and crisp AF! Such kurtas and sherwanis undoubtedly made up for one of the best groom outfits of 2018.
This is apparently the most unique outfit experiment we spotted in 2018 and not just amongst grooms but at a collective level. Taking the flared kurta game to another level was this groom Vishrut, who wore a vibrant yellow anarkali by Anju Modi for his Mehndi ceremony and left everybody stunned! Pairing it up with a dupatta he carried the ensemble with sheer grace and made sure to get captured amidst those twirls too! Now that's some "breaking the stereotypes" styling!
And how is it really possible that our beloved fashion buff Ranveer Singh whos's known for his edgy, offbeat and unique choices won't choose something different for his wedding, right? Looking royal and class apart in a kanjeevaram sherwani in mixed hues of reds, pinks & oranges, Ranveer Singh shows us that these hues aren't only "all bridey" and even grooms can rock such hues on their d-day!
The groom outfits experimental meter soared high in 2018 with added belted drapes, extended bandhgala jackets and sherwanis and extended flares. Giving a new and modern twist to the usual bandhgalas these additions have surely paved their way into groom fashion setting some major groom outfit trends of 2018 and for all the right reasons!
Since there's a scope of personalization in every aspect of weddings, it wasn't only brides in 2018 that went for personalized outfits but, grooms as well. Right from getting their names and initials embroidered on their outfits to wearing cufflinks and shoes personalized with their wedding dates, our grooms went all out.
Adding a unique definition to the usual kurtas were the raging asymmetrical hems. Cowls, elongated pleats and scrunched up sides give a unique twist and elevate the entire look. No wonder the grooms looked dapper AF in such edgy attires giving us major groom outfit goals.
