Martin Luther once said, “There is no more lovely, friendly, and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage.” And we couldn't agree more.

Irrespective of the circumstances, a good #intimatewedding can never go out of fashion. From the bride and groom winging their outfits to DIY-ing the decor and keeping it simple while still being glamourous, intimate weddings are such a joy to witness. That's why Tiffany and Angad's #TAngled wedding is an awesome example of a bride smooth sailing through all the hurdles of wedding planning and dealing with them like a pro. Scroll down to read all about this quaint wedding affair!

Introducing Tiffany & Angad's #TAngled Wedding

"We met in the most cliched arranged marriage setting," revealed Tiffany, "But like they say, when you know, you just know - just after the first meeting, it was a yes from Angad, and it didn’t take too long for me either to take the plunge and say yes."

Tiffany and Angad's forever began on the day both of them said yes to the match, and held their Roka ceremony in December 2019. The wedding date was set to be 12th April 2020. And boy, the families were excited!  This was the first wedding in the family after a long time. So everyone knew that it was going to be one of those 'big fat Indian wedding' affairs! However, fate had something else planned in store for the couple and their families, and it was certainly going to be a #Tangled wedding.

The #TAngled Wedding

Tiffany and Angad's pre-wedding rituals were all set to begin on the same day as the lockdown began. So, they had to put all their wedding plans on hold almost abruptly, because of the ongoing pandemic.

"None of us had any idea how difficult things were going to get," she said, recalling how the entire family was not just disappointed by the turn of events, but also a bit whiplashed, "Little did we know, after pushing the wedding date for almost a month, the wedding will go from 350 people to just 50 people."

When a new wedding date was finally decided, the couple's plans changed almost drastically. Much of their family had to cancel plans to come to Delhi for the wedding. And to add to that, none of their outfits were ready. They weren't sure how it was going to go, irrespective of the new planning. Everything that you wouldn't expect to happen during a wedding was happening. However, for both the bride and groom, the next best thing was to make the most out of what they had at that moment.

From the originally planned 5 functions, the couple shrunk their wedding into a small Mehendi function and an uncomplicated Anand Karaj ceremony at a nearby Gurudwara. One of the most amazing things to witness at their wedding is Tiffany's Mehendi & Wedding outfits, which were created by her mother in record time. It truly showed us that our mothers can move mountains to ensure their children's happiness.

The couple, indeed, never forgot even during this #IntimateWedding was that weddings are special, irrespective of their scale.

Mehendi Ceremony

The Mehendi ceremony took place at the bride's home, which was as impromptu as it could get. Tiffany's Mehendi outfit wasn't ready, because of the lockdown. However, her mother, who is also a designer and boutique owner, created one for her with all the possible magic in her hands and mind. Taking three different pieces from three different outfits that were a part of a bridal trousseau, Tiffany's mom curated a gorgeous Mehendi outfit in record time.

"Looking back, I don’t think any outfit could have been more suited for a Mehendi," said the bride, obviously proud of her mother's A+ efforts.

To add to this, no Mehendi and makeup artist was keen on coming over to someone's house during this time. However, Tiffany was lucky that their close acquaintance and makeup artist, Deepalee Bhardwaj, lived in the same neighbourhood, who helped the bride with her stunning makeup in hues of pink and some gorgeous bridal Mehendi as well. As for the photography, Tiffany's sisters turned into pro photographers for the function, delivering amazing images.

Anand Karaj Ceremony

"It was all that we’d never imagined and still turned out to be a wedding as beautiful as we'd ever imagined it to be," said the bride. Like their wedding hashtag, it was all #TAngled, but a beautiful memory that’s going to stay with us all forever."

Just like the bride's Mehendi outfit was created by her mother, so was her wedding ensemble! Though she originally had a different kind of outfit planned, it was stuck at the store and couldn't reach her on time. So, Tiffany's mother took her 27-year-old wedding outfit and turned it into a gorgeous fuchsia pink suit for the bride. Though this wasn't the outfit Tiffany had been imaging herself to wear on her wedding day, it certainly looked like a gorgeous dream on the day itself.

Another hurdle that the couple faced for this day was getting a photographer to cover their Anand Karaj ceremony. The original team planned was unable to make it to the wedding due to the ongoing lockdown. However, like all things come full circle, they found Studio Glympse to cover this function, as he lived nearby and was ready to come out to Gurudwara.

Take A Few Tips From The Bride!

Tiffany and Angad's intimate wedding is just one of the many stories of couples who had to size their weddings down. However, this has only resulted in them experiencing the kind of thrill and adventure that can be recalled to people for years and years to come.

If you're also a bride whose intimate wedding is planned soon, or someone helping a couple of plan one, then here are a few experiences that Tiffany would like to share with you. From one bride to another.

Do Angad and you have any plans to get hitched again later with a grand wedding celebration?

We might have one function as a reception or something at a later date once things become safer and normal. This would probably be on a large scale for the family because so many of them missed this thanks to the travel being stopped right before they were all supposed to fly in.

Due to Covid-19, what all precautions did you maintain during your lockdown wedding?
Due to the entire Covid-19 situation, we were all wearing masks (except for clicking pictures of course, haha). Plus, we carried sanitisers for everyone who was coming to the wedding. We didn't do a full-on lunch after the pheras as well. We got meal boxes done from a reputed place which we were sure would maintain the hygiene standards and we just gave the boxes to everyone to carry back.

Tips/suggestions for the brides who have postponed or cancelled their wedding?
My biggest tip would be to postpone and not cancel. Don't let this situation bring down the excitement that this day brings for every bride/groom. If you are postponing it, then use this time to just alter your original plans as per the "new normal". Don't let this get to you. It's your special day, and nothing is going to take that away from you. The celebrations will happen, but they will just happen a little later.
