We always cheer the loudest for the brides who go the extra mile to make their wedding outfits utterly special. Unsurprisingly, the gorgeous brides keep coming up with new ideas and manage to leave us speechless every single time. From seeing love stories embroidered on the wedding lehengas to gushing over the brides who take the charge of designing their wedding outfits - we are big-time suckers for these extra efforts that turn an outfit into an emotion. Well, meet Priyanka - the latest bride who bowled us over with her lehenga and the journey of its creation. Mind you, it was one full filmy journey with a fair share of low phases that culminated with a happy ending.

Priyanka is the Founder of the famous hand-painted bridal footwear brand Zubiya! Her peppy creations are a big hit among brides. As her own wedding approached, she picked up her set of colours and brushes yet again. But this time, to paint the lehenga of her dreams instead! Life threw a lot of obstacles in her way including the deadly pandemic and then she herself got infected with the virus. But nothing deterred her high spirits and she finally became the Instagram-famous bride who hand-painted her own lehenga! And of course, the lehenga turned out really beautiful! Read on, as we tell you how Priyanka painted her lehenga while fighting all the odds but first, let us give you a glimpse of the marvellous creation.

Meet The Bride Who Hand-Painted Her Lehenga

Priyanka started working on her lehenga in June 2020 and it took her almost a year to complete it. All this while, she was running her business alone and then tested positive for coronavirus in September followed by a major hand injury. The zestful wedding planning and shopping kept her occupied too. Quite a bumpy ride, we must way! But as they say, all's well and we can't help but applaud Priyanka for not only taking the challenge but also staying strong and absolutely nailing it!

Priyanka picked a powder blue fabric as the base for her lehenga and beautified it with colourful floral-inspired strokes. She even created a matching Nehru jacket for her groom. The duo looked fab in the coordinated outfits at the mehendi ceremony. Take a look at their adorable couple portraits beautifully captured by ShaadiSaga's vendor Shutterdown Photography. Makeup artist Ank Chikara dolled her up and gave her a fresh natural look. Her hair was tied and adorned with dainty floral elements. A pair of gota earrings from Fooljhadi and an organza dupatta completed her pretty mehndi look.

Going by the pictures, Priyanka's mehendi ceremony was a riot of colours against the scenic backdrop of mountains. The ace team of ShaadiSaga vendors Whistling Teel was behind the stunning decorations. A majestic floral wreath, colourful ceiling decor with hanging tassels and pompoms served as the perfect backdrop for the photos.

Painting her own lehenga amid the turmoil was obviously an unforgettable experience for Priyanka. Here's what she has to say about the same. "It was an experience I wouldn’t take any other way. At times it was relaxing, exhilarating, tiresome, joyful, serene, calming, and warm. In short, it was a mix of all my emotions, feelings. I will forever cherish the days I went through making this. Maybe that’s why it will be something special I will ever make in my life. It will remind me of all the happy and most struggling moments of my life."

We are in total awe of Priyanka, her efforts, the lehenga, and her creativity!
