"A happy marriage is about three things: memories of togetherness, the forgiveness of mistakes and a promise to never give up on each other." - Saurabhi Surendra. And we believe that happy marriages come out of both arranged and love unions.

When Subha and Sidhant were introduced to each other, their lives changed forever. Though tied together in a knot of arranged marriage, the couple found much in common with each other- more than they had ever imagined. And it is because of stories like these, which reinstill the notion that arranged marriages can also be a way of finding your soulmate. You just have to meet the right person, just like Subha met Sidhant.

Introducing Subha & Sidhant's Wedding in Gurgaon

Subha and Sidhant met each other through their family's arranged set up, at a dinner, "Though it was not love at first sight, it was the beginning of our fairytale," revealed Subha in her retelling of how they met and fell in love, "We started talking on the phone and decided to shortly meet. My excitement soared on the day of our first date. And it turned out to be amazing since our conversation was endless."

For Subha Paul, Sidhant Rawal was the boy next door- funny, thoughtful and extremely caring towards her and his friends and family. A perfect blend of sophistication and hilarity. And for Sidhant, Subha was his dream girl- pretty, funny and charming with a golden standard personality. Even though the couple had a lot of jitters when they first met, they became comfortable with each other, "The more we spoke, the more we fell in love with each other."

Subha & Sidhant's Wedding Celebrations

Subha and Sidhant's aka #sidkisubhahogayi wedding took place in Gurgaon, in various venues, with their closest of friends and family in attendance. Each function was a sight to witness with stunning and extravagant decor, and the bride and groom were dressed for each in designer finery. Check out all the functions below to witness their opulent union.

Engagement Ceremony

The first of the many wedding functions, the engagement took place at the Golden Tulip in Gwal Pahari, Gurgaon. For this, Subha wore a scintillating red lehenga with floral print and a statement shoulder design by Sulakshana Monga while Sidhant wore a blue-black Jodhpuri Selfstitch. The couple exchanged their rings and also cut a gorgeous peach shaded cake by Flan Patisserie to commemorate their engagement.

Mehendi Function

Taking place at the Gymkhana Club in Faridabad, the Mehendi was another intimate event to take notes from. Initially, Subha held a small celebration of Mehendi at her home. This was followed by a sundowner Mehendi event at the club. The entire venue was doused in florals and fairy lights. With bright pink and golden yellow as the backdrop, the entire venue was dotted with decorations made out of gendaphools, Rajasthani umbrellas, and dreamcatchers. Another element that caught our eye was the decorated jhoola that was drenched in gorgeous greens and roses.

For the Mehendi, the bride was dressed in a fabulous pastel pink outfit, with elements of teal blue, sky blue and magenta that she had designed herself under her label, BlazebySubha. To this ensemble, she added an amazing side braid and OTT floral earrings.

Beautiful Sagan

The Sagan took place at Essex Farms, Sri Aurobindo Marg, Delhi. For this event, Subha was dressed in a beautiful and unique purple lehenga by designer Gaurav Gupta which she paired with light makeup and a subtle wavy open hairstyle. Sidhant, on the other hand, was dressed in a dapper black suit by Study by Janak. Though not too lavish, the event was marked by unbridled dancing, gorgeous warm chandeliers and classy rose backdrops.

Wedding Day

After all the pre-wedding celebration, the couple's wedding finally took place at the GranDreams Banquet Hall in Nehru Place. With the view of the gorgeous Lotus Temple, the wedding was a glittering affair with warmly lit halls and a mandap drenched in pastel flowers.

Subha beamed in her pastel yellow and gold lehenga with contrasts of baby pink by designer Neeta Lulla which she paired with meenakari and polki jewellery, a baby pink chooda and light makeup. Sidhant, on the other hand, was dressed in a fine and smart sherwani in pastel pink by Heritage.
