A chance encounter, a whirlwind romance and a sunset wedding in Goa. Yes, all these three things are part of the wedding we're covering today. Prajeeta and Yuvaraj's romantic wedding story is not an intimate affair, but one ideal to describe weddings in the time of covid. Vibrant decor, stunning designer outfits, eye-popping elements and lots and lots of music- everything about this wedding celebration in pure gold.

Introducing Prajeeta & Yuvaraj

Prajeeta and Yuvaraj's meet-cute took place in a house party setting in Goa, where the two instantly clicked, "I still remember vividly that the first time we ever spoke, the familiarity we felt ended up in us exchanging numbers."

And then after meeting a few more times, the relationship between the two blossomed into a three-year-long journey, which the couple spent knowing each other. Finally, after three years of dating the two got engaged in January 2020 and planned their wedding for December 2020 only for it to turn into a coronial affair!

Prajeeta recalled, "Despite the pandemic, we still had our dream celebration, with a unique venue, a sunset wedding and the best possible vendors who helped us with everything!"

The #yuvjeeta destination wedding was an intimate yet stunning affair that started at the Sol de Goa hotel, which added an elegant urban feel to the celebration. The main wedding celebration took place at the Taj Holiday Village with the setting sun and the endless sea as their background.

Mehendi

The mehendi celebration was a vibrant affair with colourful dreamcatchers, drapes and bright florals that caught everyone's attention. Prajeeta sported a stunning teal blue look with a tea coloured outfit from Nautanky and paired it with a beautiful dainty choker along with gorgeous teal eye makeup that matched her outfit.

Cocktail

The next function was the cocktail night. A starry jazz night with acoustic music swimming in the air had a very rustic vibe. Prajeeta looked ravishing in a flowing red gown from Nautanky and paired her look with a sleek ponytail and dusky smokey eye makeup. Yuvaraj, on the other hand, chose a dapper black tuxedo that contrasted well with his bride to be's red outfit.

Haldi

Haldi ceremony was all about yellow with hues of pink and decor elements like a beautiful bridal swing decked up with gendas and pink carnations. Prajeeta wore a pretty contemporary dhoti saree from Alaya By Stage3 along with a pair of quirky 'bride-to-be' slip-ons.

Wedding

Prajeeta and Yuvaraj always wanted to have a laid back wedding, which is exactly what they got. Drenched in florals and pastel decor, along with quirky boards and customised pastel marks, for the couple it was the happiest day of their lives. Prajeeta wore a beautiful fuchsia pink lehenga from Shyamal and Bhumika while Yuvaraj chose a deep blue sherwani for the event.

Vendor Reviews

Wedding Photographer: The Picture Patch Photography

"When it comes to weddings the best advice I can give is to book the best photographer you can find."- When we started looking for photographers for our wedding, our planners gave their reference and we were immensely happy to see their work. Raj and the team were patient and understanding and made our day relaxing, that we could sit back and enjoy knowing that The Picture Patch was capturing the special moments. Thank you for going above and beyond on our wedding day. You guys were so relaxed and friendly making us feel so comfortable with the pictures and videos. It was such a pleasure to work with you guys. Great job! The other things that stood out for me apart from being amazing are the positive vibes we got throughout from everyone starting from Raj and his team. They captured our smiling moments and their passion showed in the pictures they clicked. We thank you so much for our beautiful photos and we are sure to recommend you to anyone who is looking for a photographer.

Wedding Venue 1: Sol de Goa

I was sure from the first place to provide a long period of stay for my guests and give them a different vibe where the entire property would belong to us. We wanted to give our guests and family an elegant urban feel therefore we chose Sol De Goa for their intimate affairs, as in for their Mehendi, Haldi and Cocktail night. Created as a Goan heritage designed by Tarun Tahiliani, the hotel opens to a pool courtyard with a star-lit sky and a second emerald pool lined with swaying palms overlooking the paddy fields combining an elegant Goan - Portuguese design.

Wedding Venue 2: Taj Holiday Village, Goa

For the wedding, we decided to get married at Taj Holiday Village with the setting sun and endless sea and in the background with an array of delectable cuisines thereby creating wonderful memories.

Wedding Planner: The Wedding Tantra

I feel so happy to review the most amazing Wedding Planners. I can't fully express how enchanted, and enamoured, and in awe, we all still are with the decor for each day of the wedding festivities! Having them on board was one of the best decisions we made. Post my engagement when I came across their page, I was sure to have them on board. Got in touch with them around 8 months prior and once the dates were finalized, we knew whom we wanted. After having a video conference with her, she really understood what we wanted, thereby coming up with beautiful themes per our liking. And Adithya took it upon herself to come up with the most unique venues and ideas for us and making sure to listen to us so patiently.

She and her team personally delved into our idea of the event, thus making this event a truly dreamy experience. They made sure we were being heard, at every step of the planning despite the pandemic situation and it just took just 3 months to make this a beautiful affair. She handled this whole event with such a modern approach. We honestly could not have done this without them. We are still talking about it and so are our guests.

She went through every detail with us and made sure we were all in sync. From natural fresh flowers and our favourite blush colours in an ombre colour scheme, lovely giveaways and the most beautiful wooden floral mandap I have ever seen. Colour-coordinated to the T including our varmalas and family outfits.

All our guests talked about their positive experience with TWT. No matter what the time of the day was, they were ready and willing to help. They really took a huge burden and stress away from our family so we could focus on our day and enjoy ourselves with our guests. Heartiest thanks to them for also helping us get the other talented vendors which added to the beauty.

Bridal Makeup Artist: Makeover by Sukanya

Our planner got us in touch with Sukanya and when I had a word with her, she really understood every look that I wanted. As I wanted it simple, she kept each look distinct and just perfect and it matched every outfit of mine. Every look she created was different. She creates flawless looks customized to every individual bridal needs, tastes, and personality. She enhances the freshness and natural beauty of the skin. She is an incredible artist. She made me feel the most gorgeous I’ve ever felt. Thank you.

Bridal Designers: Shyamal and Bhumika

For Wedding attire, Shyamal and Bhumika were always on my mind. I visited the store to see the collection. The outfits were so amazing and designed. I was sure about the Fuschia pink for my lehenga and the swatches came out exactly according to my personality and preference. When it was finally ready, it looked prettier than I imagined! The finishing and everything was based on my choice of customization moreover it was handcrafted. Thank you for making this day special. Couldn't have been happier with the selection of my entire wedding trousseau.

Mehndi Artist: Nizami Mehendi Arts

She is very humble and she specialises in customised henna. I wanted something very minimalistic and she gave me just the best. Her work is really intricate and fine, in awe of her. Truly awesome handwork. I trusted her completely from the start and would definitely recommend her. Thank you, Halima and her team.
