Pre-wedding shoots are always fun. Even more exciting because you get to spend time with each other amidst the wedding madness.  But did you know that just choosing a photographer for your pre-wedding shoot isn’t enough? There are several things you need to keep in mind before your shoot.

So, to help you prepare, here are  a few guidelines that are recommended:

#1 Budget: Discuss well in advance all the terms and conditions of the shoot with your photographer.

#2 Props: Whether it be an indoor or outdoor location, accordingly make a list of all the props you would require at the setup. If there are many props, ask a close one or sibling who can help organise you at that time.

#3 Poses: Research well about what all photo ideas you would like to incorporate. It is always advised to do so well in advance so that your photographer has a fair idea of what exactly you need.

#4 Location Preference: Let your photographer know whether you would like an indoor or outdoor shoot.  Make him well aware of all the alternative ways to reach the location.

#5 Alternation Location: Always keep a backup plan in case of an unpredictable weather. Choose an indoor location or another date in such circumstances.

#6 Outfits: Do your homework weeks before about which kind of outfit will go with your preferred location. Get your outfits ready way in advance to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the shoot.

#7 To avoid looking tired in your photographs, take ample amount of rest a day or two before the day of the shoot.

#8 Remember to prepare your emergency kit and do not forget to take it along on the day of the shoot.

What To Carry On The Day Of Pre-Wedding Shoot: 

For men:

  • A couple of formal or informal shirts  
  • Ties (optional)  
  • Black and white socks  
  • Formal shoes

For women:

  • Flat slippers  
  • Extra pair of heels  
  • Makeup essentials  
  • Blotting paper  
  • Hairspray  
  • Safety pins

And last but not the least, experiment and try to be as creative as you can! At the end of the day, it is about you and your love reciting the world your love story to always cherish ahead!
