2021 is here people! And we're so ready for this year's wedding season to start already. 

The past year's been nothing short of, well, crazy! So, our eagerness to leave it behind is much high. And with that, we also get to shed a few trends from last year. One in particular being the Pantone Shade of the Year 2020- Classic Blue. With every new year, comes a new Pantone Colour of the Year, and for 2021, Pantone has announced not one but TWO amazing colours to rule the year! 

It's time to pull out your moodboards, brides and grooms, for 2021 is the year of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray & PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating!

For over 20 years, the Pantone Color Institute has selected the "Color of the Year" – meant to be a symbol of the new year to come.  Just like us, Pantone knew that we needed not one but two colours to make this year brighter and more lively. Talking about the colours, the institute announced, "PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating, two independent colours that highlight how different elements come together to support one another, best express the mood for Pantone Color of the Year 2021."

With Ultimate Gray being a cool toned grey while Illuminating being a warm and light sunshine yellow, these two colours bring forth a message of happiness that is aspirational and gives us hope!

There are so many ways of including the Pantone shade Ultimate Gray in your weddings. While the old Victorian notion labels this colour as boring, or dull, we'd like to call it more cool and edgy. Using Pantone Colour of the Year 2021- Ultimate Gray in wedding fashion is fairly easy. We've seen grey as part of so many bridal and groom ensembles that the length of inspiration is endless.
