"Pankaj was a typical Delhi boy, and I could not even imagine being friends with him," our bride Palak, reveals jokingly.

Theirs is a typical heartwarming college romance story. Palak and Pankaj met at Manchester Business School for their masters, and of course, did not like each other at first glance. It was only along the course of time that the two of them first became friends and gradually best friends. The bond they shared had become strong enough for them to maintain it even after their graduation. And, did we tell you, that our bride hails from Jaipur? Yes! they still continued their oh-so-filmy love story because distance could not do them apart! Palak quips, "How could I have let go off my best friend who was always there for me and was so smart?"

And yes, soon after, our Delhi boy, Pankaj, proposed Palak in the pink city Jaipur, in a dream-like setup at their friend's garden by lighting it up beautifully, promising to keep their friendship alive together forever. Palak also told us, that while going down on his knees, Pankaj gave her a beautiful gold band with an inscription that she holds very close to her heart. We don't think we have heard of anything more adorable than this in recent times.

The couple decided to make it a two-day-long destination wedding in Udaipur, at Ananta hotel and resort, with the help of their wedding planner Facts N Fiction Creative Studio. All their beautiful ceremonies were captured by House On The Clouds. Without further much ado, let's take you through their joyous nuptials.

Pankaj & Palak's Udaipur Wedding

Joyous Mehndi Day

The celebrations started with the mehndi function, and the duo decided to go with a fun flamingo beach theme, soaking that winter sun! Pink, purple and greens were added to give the decor a beach vibe. Making it more fun, jute accents were placed on the centre table and flamingos to add that element, the couple also invested in some great cocktails and chaat items to get everyone in the mood of the wedding! To add more to the fun, Punjabi live singers were invited to set the mood for that big fat Punjabi wedding and getting everyone to not stop dancing. Palak and Pankaj also invited a live choori maker, especially, to show all the guests, how Rajasthan artisans work their magic!

The Bride wore a gorgeous multi-coloured blue lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and paired it with jewellery by Rawat Jewels. The groom was seen in a mint green kurta pjayama by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

The Happy Sangeet

On the sangeet, the bride wore a pretty lilac lehenga by Anamika Khanna along with Rawat Jewels. The groom was seen in a ravishing black and grey sherwani by Manish Malhotra and accessories by Christian Louboutin

Their sangeet was all things glam! Burgundy, black and silver were the colours that ruled their sangeet. One could also spot natural lights with beautiful candles, silver hangings to give that added glitter to the event. And how can we forget the gorgeous all mirror bar with signature cocktails? Since our bride loves dancing, all the arrangements were done as per her demands. The stage was made to perfection with led screens put on the sides. The floor was chevron flex to give it that boho vibe. After the performances, the DJ and percussionist gave a mind-blowing act of non-stop music till the wee hours of the morning! Pankaj and Palak were the lasts ones to leave!

Chooda & Haldi

While the groom had a Haldi, the bride had a chooda ceremony. Both the ceremonies were held side by side, in the same venue. The bride even attended groom's haldi and threw her kaleera on his head! The theme of this function was yellow with genda flowers and gold gotta decorations to start the auspicious wedding day celebrations! For the bride, the most special thing on this day was her mom, as she along with her sister, and her niece wore the same outfit that her mom made for them. The bride wore Veera Designs and the groom wore Masaba Gupta. Palak also adorned her late grandmother's jewellery!

The D-Day!

On the wedding day, the decor was kept traditional using deep reds, gold, and all fresh flowers. The mandap was also full of red roses, chameli, gold bells and candles. During Pankaj’s baraat, while all the groom's family and friends were busy dancing, others had kurle wali chai served to all the guests waiting at the amphitheatre! It was a close wedding with 300 guests and small bells placed at everyone’s seat. For the bride's entry, everyone at the venue was ringing this bell with beautiful background music.

Talking of the outfits, the bride wore a gorgeous lehenga by Shyamal & Bhumika and her make up was done by Pratibha Biswas and the groom was clad in a sherwani by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and accessories by Sabyasachi.

After Party!

The couple also arranged an eventful after party after the poojas and rituals. There was setup done inside the banquet hall with no decor, just dance floor for a pure dancing night! The duo wanted to end their wedding with a bang and worked on a different special look with our clothes. They wore matching fur jackets with lights for that last leg of the celebrations!

The Grand Reception

The opulent reception was held in Delhi NCR, at The Ritz by FNP Gardens Gurugram. The bride wore a shimmery silver lehenga by Manish Malhotra and the groom wore a classy suit by Dolce & Gabbana.
