Do you believe in love at first sight? Psst! We also thought that it’s just a mere concept and it can only happen in Bollywood movies. But then, we met Nupur and Anirudh. Their love story was nothing less than a fairytale. Just like their romantic story, this couple had a 3-day long engagement and Roka ceremony that was extraordinary in every way. Yes! You read that right. From the grand floral entryway to gorgeous bridal long-trail gown their nuptial ceremonies were filled with dhoom, dhamaka and masti!
When speaking to our bride Nupur we asked how they met and here is what she has to say. “Anirudh and I met in a random place at a random time. We were supposed to catch up for coffee with a friend (it’s a very Melbourne thing), but my friend didn’t show up. But we still went ahead with it. Not knowing much about each other, we started a smooth conversation and hit it for a couple of hours. After leaving the coffee place, we both had the same thought: I really want to be with this person," she said. Both hid their feelings for a few days until Anirudh said to Nupur “I am in love with someone I can be with for the rest of my life”. To which, our bride replied, "If it’s true love, nothing can come your way”.
The first day started with a welcome dinner, arranged by Anirudh and his family in Kota. They arranged a gathering of about 50-60 guests in their royal and elegant hotel, The Mabel. While they organised many fun games for their guests. This night turned out to be a great ice breaker between the ladke and ladkivales.
The second day was filled with the festivities of the Roka ceremony. It started with a small mehendi ceremony for the ladies of the family. Just like any other Indian function, there was a lot of dancing. Their friends came from different parts of the country to attend the ceremony. The ceremony had the arrangement of lunch in the Rajasthani style with Daal Bhaati and traditional diwan seating for the guests. For the Roka, Nupur wore a gorgeous pink Banarasi lehenga with foil print and she adorned her outfit with dainty Kundan and pearl jewellery and looked phenomenal. Whereas Anirudh looked dapper in an off-beat jacket-style sherwani with gold work. With beautiful vibrant decor and stunning photographs captured by Studio Beunique and Bhavesh Soni this traditional Roka ceremony was followed by a dinner and a cocktail party.
Don't miss to bookmark Nupur's pearl maangtikka that is giving us major #bridaljewellery goals!
The last day was the grand engagement party where the bride looked drop-dead-gorgeous. Living in Melbourne, our bride-to-be was always fascinated by white weddings. So for her engagement ceremony, she wore a floor-length surreal white gown that had intricate lacework and a sweetheart neckline. She kept her hair open and paired a beautiful headband with her engagement princess gown. Coming to our groom, Anirudh chose a classic blue velvet tuxedo for the grand night. The smashing night started with the ring exchange ceremony and was followed by champagne popping and fireworks.
We can't get enough of this beautiful couple and their wedding festivities. If the Roka and engagement were this grand, we are just wondering how grandiose the wedding will be 😍. So take some inspiration from this cute couple and how they planned their 3-day long ceremonies.
