As future brides, you must often wonder what truly makes a wedding memorable? Is it the fancy venues or a massive decor facade? For some, it may be OTT, opulent decor or exorbitant designer clothes? Well, if we're being completely candid about it, what actually infuses life into a celebration of a union is the single, most indispensable element of all- the people.
It's the people that witness the couple's wedding, and the couple themselves, that bring a wedding to life. Their happy moods are what bring 'good vibes' to a wedding. One such intimate wedding that we witnessed recently was of Nehal and Saurabh- a couple who met each other through their mothers' who were school friends. With an intimate wedding at a gorgeously decorated temple, the bride and groom had the closest of their families to celebrate their wedding with much joy, laughter and dance. The meeting between Nehal and Saurabh was a serendipitous turn of fate. Nehal and Saurabh's mothers were school friends who reconnected a few years ago when they stumbled across the biodata of their children on a matchmaking website. Soon, they connected their children and while the parents caught up with each other, the two started to get to know each other.
Even though Saurabh was in the U.S. and Nehal was in India, the two started conversing over long-distance calls and clicked fairly quickly. Soon, they began meeting and falling in love with each other. When Saurabh asked for her hand in marriage, Nehal instantly said yes and the rest is history, "It's like we just knew. Leap of faith quite literally and not a day goes by when we aren't thankful for each other."
Nehal and Saurabh's intimate wedding festivities began with a pooja ceremony for the bride. The bride looked gorgeous in a bright yellow gharara suit with the entire backdrop covered in yellows and greens of the venue.
The wedding took place at the Shree Mahavir Ji Mandir in Greater Kailash 1, New Delhi. For Nehal and Saurabh's wedding, the entire mandir was drenched in white and yellow marigolds with other elements in golden yellow and pink adorning each facade of the wedding venue. For her wedding ceremony, the bride was dressed in a gorgeously embellished lehenga in pink, red and orange paired with diamond jewellery and a beautiful long nath. The groom, on the other hand, was dressed in a smart-looking sherwani in off white with a pink safa and deep pink stole to contrast with his bride's pink lehenga.
