“Actually, the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures.” – Lewis Carroll

The tale of #NatWantsMoLove is a fun story of a man and woman whose love blossomed thanks to their love for frequent travels. From an adventurous first encounter in Chile to a picturesque pre-wedding shoot in Paris, Natasha and Mohnish's romance is one for the books!

And their wedding is no less of a scene-stealer either. Not only did this bride walk down the aisle in a pretty bespoke lehenga with her entire love story embroidered on it, but also had her romance etched into her hands with henna. Witness their gorgeous wedding unfold through the snippets below!

Introducing Natasha & Mohnish's Wedding in Thailand

"It all started when I met Mohnish in Punta Arenas, Chile," recalls Natasha, "It was at the end of the world where our world began!"

Natasha and Mohnish met each other at her sister's wedding. However, after three months of exchanging texts and calls in the process of getting to know each other, the two finally decided to meet. And after spending the weekend together back in Hong Kong and getting along perfectly, the two decided to finally make it official. Since then, Natasha and Mohnish met each other every month either in Hong Kong or anywhere else in the world while travelling or attending weddings!

From Europe to Bali to Paris, there aren't many places on the map left unmarked by the two but still, many left to explore! Finally, during their trip to Bali in December 2018, a year after dating, Mohnish got down on one knee during a private dinner amidst the glory of rice fields and proposed to Natasha asking her to marry him.

The Singapore- Hong Kong-based couple held their wedding celebration at the Angsana Laguna in Phuket, Thailand, turning their celebration into an exclusive destination affair as neither of them wanted a city or regular hotel wedding.

Simple & Sweet Mehendi Ceremony

The first was the mehendi ceremony held on the first day. Natasha wore a gorgeous pastel blue lehenga with light pink embroidery from Pix Boutique, Pune along with matching floral jewellery. Mohnish, concurrently, chose a stunning powder blue bandhgala that matched in colour to his bride-to-be's outfit. However, one of the most important elements of the Mehendi celebration was Natasha's mehndi design which incorporated all the aspects of her romance with Mohnish like the Hong Kong and Singapore skyline, their love for coffee, their wedding hashtag and date along with Paris! Natasha said, "We wanted a clean decor with yellow, for our Ghari/ Mehdhi functions which were indoors."

Glam Welcome Dinner

Following the mehendi function was the welcome dinner where the couple greeted their guests with a glam dinner night. Decked up with fairy lights and geometric decor that went with the outdoor lawn theme they had a glam welcome dinner. Natasha walked out in a stunning silver-blue concept saree with feathers on the sleeves and golden embroidery, plus a mini clutch attached to her waist as an accessory from Mischbcouture. Mohnish matched his bride's outfit once more and wore a colour coordinated bandhgala suit.

Pretty Daytime Wedding

The couple's wedding was a stunning affair to witness. Dressed in a bespoke lehenga by designer Anjali Mahtani, Natasha's beige and gold lehenga was embroidered with elements that were significant to her romance with Mohnish. The bride finished her ensemble with matte makeup, sleek hair and gold jewellery. Mohnish, on the other hand, coordinated the beige and gold colour scheme with his bride and wore a sherwani with a light coloured safa and minimal jewellery. In fact, what we also loved was the wedding mandap, which looked so different. The round mandap with only immediate family sitting was the perfect seating arrangement for the d-day.

Fun-filled Reception Party

Following their sunset pheras and wedding, the couple held their reception party. Natasha stepped out in her pretty love story lehenga, except she chose to refurbish the look with a new blouse and a free-flowing ponytail while Mohnish dressed up in a dapper white and black tuxedo with an embroidered collar. The couple cut their wedding cake and held their first dance while their friends and family watched over them fondly, toasting to their happy marriage and further adventures! Natasha said, "For our wedding reception, we wanted to create an element Gatsby look with features, red roses and a large Led screen with our wedding logo."

Vendor Reviews

Wedding Photographer

Dhivager Rathakrishnan

He has a team of 5 who are great at what they do and his way of photography and videography is amazing and they're so easy to get along with. We had a great time with them! They have done weddings in Angsana too so we thought that would be a plus point and it sure was!

Wedding Venue

Angsana Laguna Phuket, Thailand

We choose Angsana Laguna Phuket, Thailand. It was love at first sight with the property! As we both did not want to have a wedding in a city or a regular hotel which people normally do from Hongkong or places in Asia. We also had them cater to both Indian and Thai cuisine.

Bridal Makeup Artist

Sanaya Topandasani

Sanaya was such a breeze to work with.  I've met her a few times before and did a makeup trial but during the wedding occasions, she just blew me away and made me so comfortable! I'm not a huge fan of makeup, other than eyeliner and lipstick and I prefer keeping my hairstyles simple and straight as well. So Sanaya had a challenge, but she did well.

Mehendi Artist

Henna by Ima Habsyi

She's super talented and did my henna based on our love story elements - Hong Kong and Singapore skylines, our love for coffee and wine, the MN wedding logo and Paris photoshoot along with our wedding date, 02.02.2020, and the wedding hashtag #NatWantsMoLove.

Bride's Outfit Designer:

Pix Boutique

It was a Teal Blue and Pink outfit I picked up from Pune, India (Pix Boutique) I loved it as it was the colours I was going for. Welcome dinner outfit:

Mischbcouture

It was a gorgeous lightweight outfit everyone loved. It was also from a designer in Jakarta, Indonesia.

AMC By Anjali Mahtani

I have been obsessed with making my wedding outfit a Love Story Lengha and rightfully so I did with the BEST designer from Jakarta, Indonesia or in the world, if I may say haha. She also curated a Dramatic reception blouse, which I topped up on my love story lehenga.

Groom's Outfit Designer

Mewar, Pune

They're simply the best. And every outfit matched the brides 100%. All I had to do is show them a picture and voila! Literally a piece of cake!
