They say that throughout your life, you will meet one person who is unlike any other person. A person with whom you have an immediate connection the moment you meet- a connection so strong that you are drawn to them in a way you have never experienced before. As this connection develops over time, you experience love so deep, strong and complex, that you begin to doubt that you have ever truly loved anyone prior. You could talk to this person for hours and never get bored. You could tell them anything and they would never judge you. This person is your soul mate, and you should never let them go.

These lines come to life through the true love story of Aashka and Jagir. A story that began oceans apart, this saga takes us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions which teaches us a vital lesson. When they work, long-distance relationships are the best sort of beautiful. The fact that a person could wait months cross miles and oceans for a few short yet spectacular moments with another person they love is almost magical. Honestly, that's it. That's what we're all searching for.

A Story Marked By Miles And Smiles

Though introduced to each other when they were oceans apart, the similarities between Aashka and Jagir piqued their interests in each other. Aashka was a Cosmetic Dentist working in Mumbai, while Jagir was a Project Engineer living in Perth, Australia. What Aashka describes as a possible love at first encounter, their relationship began with occasional conversations on the phone and face time about common interests like their love for working out, travelling, animals, movies, music, food and their families.

There were miles and miles between them, including long waits between visits, the occasional poor internet connections and nights spent alone thinking about each other. However, for them, it was all worth it.

When Jagir flew to Mumbai to meet Aashka, their fondness for each other intensified upon endless conversations. They just knew that they were meant to be. So, with the blessings of their families, the couple decided to join hands and start their journey into marital bliss.

The Wedding Festivities

The couple decided to have a small wedding, with certain functions taking place in Ahmedabad, while the main ceremonies being held at Mount Abu, Rajasthan. With the decision of keeping their wedding limited to only the closest of family and friends, Aashka and Jagir decided that their wedding was going to be about being happy. Plus, Aashka chose Destination Photographers to cover her wedding due to her tight friendship with Radhika Pandit. Best friends since childhood, Radhika is practically Aashka's family. The couple couldn't have chosen better hands to manage their wedding photography as the pictures showcase not only the fineness of the duo but also the raw beauty of Mount Abu blended with the traditional vibe of the wedding.

Haldi

The wedding festivities kicked off with Aashka's haldi ceremony. The haldi took place at Aashka's uncle's house in Ahmedabad. It was an intimate affair, with only a few members of close family and friends. Dressed in a simple yet elegant yellow dress, Aashka's happiness and beauty are perfectly reflected in just a few shots.

Mehendi

The mehendi ceremony took place at Aashka's own bunglow in Ahmedabad. It was a festive affair full of memorable smiles from everyone in the family. Aashka's exquisite mehendi was designed by Yasminben, a close friend of the family. A beautiful algamation of a story that showcased the bride and groom on each hand with motifs symoblising their love, Aashka's mehendi left us in an awe. What wowed us the most was the viel made from fresh flowers that adorned the bride's head, glorifying her ambrosial grace.

Pre-Wedding Reception

The last function to take place in Ahmedabad was the couple's pre wedding reception. Held at the Aam Bagan party plot, the reception was a floral decor paradise. Lined with botanic arches, bright flowers and candles lighting the entire venue, the reception was nothing short of a romantic epic narative.

Pre-Wedding Shoot

The entire wedding party was welcomed to the Palace Bikaner House in Mount Abu for their two day wedding functions. With a welcome party marked by the music of dhols, the bride and groom proceeded to have their pre wedding shoot in the beautiful vacinity of the hotel, ensuring to capture the raw beauty of Mount Abu's hills drenched in early spring sunlight. Their unique and panaromic pre wedding photos are breathtaking and personal in the most glorious way.

Sangeet

The first night of the festivities was marked by a wonderful sangeet night held at the Palace Bikaner Hotel. The remarkable event had a number of musical performances by friends and family, along with the couple hitting the dance floor with everyone. The pictures of this function capture the whimsical mood perfectly, along with the couple gracefully romantic shots together.

Wedding

Setting a new bar for floral decor, Aashka and Jagir's wedding day was as memorable as it could it. Placed in the middle of the woods of Mount Abu, the mandap was dressed in phenomenal flowers from head to toe. The bride and groom themselves were nothing less of radiant. The groom looked dapper in his Sabyasachi sherwani while the bride was dressed in a regal pure red lehenga with golden embroidery by Tulsi studio. With both the couple and the venue dressed  in the most captivating manner, the wedding was the perfect fairy tale come to life.
