It's hard to imagine that a love story with all the elements in place (the Mirch masala, romance, and love at first sight) can be true. Well this time on Real Weddings we feel it all; the butterflies in the stomach, the joy of holy matrimony and thumping heartbeats as we narrate this fairytale of Pratibha and Vivek. As they met..
Love blossomed for these lovebirds for 5 whole years before Vivek finally decided that he hated dropping Pratibha back to her place after their dates (clever) and talked about the next step with her and then her family. And that was not it, even after the "yes" from both sides it was not simple, it was a wedding binding not two people or two families but two whole cultures together. Here it goes the real Shaadisaga of Pratibha from a joyous Punjabi family to the man of her dreams Vivek, a smart and compassionate Sindhi boy.
The Promise to be together.. Forever The ceremonies started with a traditional Roka ceremony at Vivek's house followed by a night full partying and the best of booze on the 15th of the december 2013. The Rock on the Finger! At her engagement, one year later, our travel-lover bride experienced a beautiful Sindhi ceremony known as Saagri where she was decorated with flowers by the groom’s sisters and Vivek came to fetch her. It was indeed a thrilling new experience for our gorgeous bride. Getting closer to the D-Day! The wedding date was set for 6th December and the celebrations came into full force with the 'Tilak' ceremony where Pratibha's loving Punjabi family welcomed the very handsome Vivek to the family on the 4th of December.
A Dance to Remember The winter wedding was an affair to remember with this mesmerizing couple performing impromptu on a song they hated on the Sangeet that followed Punjabian di battery is Charged!- The Mehendi! Pratibha looked like a true beauty on her Mehendi ceremony held one day before the wedding in true Punjabi style with music, dance and lots of masti!
The ceremony was followed by a Reception, which was a small gathering of loved ones held at Tonino where everyone enjoyed the company and had fun with the newly weds. "We fall in love by chance but stay in love by choice" and Shaadisaga gives this couple loads of blessings for the best choice they've made!!
Avnish Dhoundiyal on the Bride: Pratibha is one of the brides with whom we enjoyed lots of creative freedom during the shoot which is very important for. She has been very cooperative and understanding, with clear idea about what she wants. It has been a superb experience covering her wedding as her family & friends all were light-hearted and fun to shoot. It was a beautiful Punjabi + Sindhi wedding and we had a blast working. Pratibha is the sweetest bride and we wish her & vivek all the best for the future. Tejasvini Chander on the Bride: It has been a great pleasure working with Pratibha. She is one of those ‘happy brides’ any make-up artist will love. I did the most natural make-up and she looked fabulous on her wedding. Her family is very supportive and fun loving, I am so glad to be a part of her BIG DAY. My best wishes to the newly weds!!
