Source Bageecha Banaras

For as long as I remember, I have imagined myself wearing an elegant Banarasi lehenga on my wedding day. But on the same hand, I have also wondered for the longest time that from where in Delhi would I find a store with graceful Banarasi outfits (without burning a hole in my pocket)?

Carrying a traditional Banarasi piece and getting it customised from my boutique wali aunty to get a contemporary look seemed like the last resort until I visited Bageecha. Based in Shahpur Jat, New Delhi, Bageecha store has an assortment of lehengas, sarees, anarkalis and dupatta in fabrics of silk, silk by georgette and cotton chanderi. (No more waiting for winters to wear silk! Yay!)

Anika Gupta, the lady boss behind our favourite decor - Rani Pink, along with husband Akshay Gupta has founded the label that aims to target at young brides who like these age-old weaves but in bright pastel hues.
