Wedding Revelries of Saurabh & Nupur

Burst of Colors: Khushrang Heena, The Mehndi Ceremony

Kickstarting the extravagant #Nurab wedding festivities at an immensely colorful and vibrant note was the mehndi ceremony with a resplendent Rajasthani touch. Electrifying hues of pink, blue, yellow and orange marked the entire venue in the form of drapes, ceilings, lounge seatings and the mehndi seating. A lot of quirky elements like birdhouses, colorful umbrellas, puppets, cloth dreamcatchers, bandhani drapes, clay wind chimes, clay pots and wood figurines were infused together to weave an aunthentic magical mehndi vibe. The couch mehndi seating in multiple hues looked all royal. Fun and zesty vibes with music and singing competition between the two sides with the ladkiwala's obviously winning, the mehndi ceremony was one joyful affair.

For the mehndi ceremony, Nupur wore a surreal Roop Vatika lehenga in pastel hues with a tassled dupatta and intricately done sequined work on the ensemble. Pairing it up with bright pink and feathered floral jewellery, half tied wavy tresses and decent flushed makeup, she looked radiant in her bridal charm. Not to forget her colorful bejewelled round clutch that took her entire mehndi look a notch above!

Saurabh, on the other hand, designed his own mehndi outfit and all of his wedding outfits for that matter. He made sure to have all of his outfits uniquely quirked up since he is a big Ranveer Singh fan! For the mehndi, he chose to pair up the mint green kurta and ice blue dhotis with a colorful jacket in scalloped embroideries. Not only did he look all handsome but what further stole the show were his mehndi laden hands.

Kisi Disco Me Jae, The Sangeet Night

Saurabh and Nupur's sangeet night was exactly how a royal sangeet should be—classic, elegant, and jazzy at the same time. Themed around the ivory and powder blue hues with silver crystals and miniature bulbs, the decor was an exquisite and regal sight to behold. While a gorgeous floral backdrop amped up the striking blue stage, pretty branched installations with pink flowers marked the entire entrance and the royal hall as well. With a plethora of performances by family and friends, the mushy couple dance and Saurabh's surprise performance, the night was one grand party with unstoppable feet.

For the glitzy night, Nupur slipped into a pretty embellished mauve gown by Siddharth & Disha done in paneled pleats and heavily detailed sequined and thread embroideries with tassles. With stunning jewellery and a radiant highlighted look she undoubtedly stole hearts.

While Saurabh designed for himself a smart and crisp royal blue flared kurta with a heavily embroidered navy blue jacket that he teamed up with a multi-stringed pearl mala.

Rang Barse Haldi, The Haldi-Holi Ceremony

The next day of #Nurab unfolded at a super happy and exuberant note with a high-spirited haldi-cum-holi party. For their mutual love for the festival of colors, the couple decided to host the haldi which was a brilliant mix of traditional haldi ritual and fun color play. Beautiful colors, smoke bombs, flower petals and the couple's fun entry on a decked up scooter with a side car made the whole affair a super peppy and enjoyable one.

Clad in a white kurta pyjama with a yellow bandi, Saurabh yet again looked uber dapper! While Nupur designed her haldi outfit in shades of yellow and orange which she got stitched by her friend Priyanka who did magic with it unparallely. With a beautiful flower crown and gorgeous floral jewellery in white and yellow, Nupur's haldi look was bang on! Her pataka dulhan juttis have just stolen our hearts tbh.

Band Baja Baaraat: The Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony was no less than a royal and extravagant affair; exactly how a dreamy palace wedding is meant to be. Done in exquiste hues of gold with a mettalic silver sofa seating, the wedding stage looked apar excellence ornamented with beguiling floral and foliage arrangements. While a royal carriage and sparklers added the perfect regal feels to the baraat, Nupur's entry on a palki decked up with multi-hued pink flowers was the highlight of the night. The jaimala ceremony under the flower shower and the poolside pheras entwined phenomenally making the wedding one of its kind.

For the wedding, Saurabh donned a floral embroidered ivory sherwani that he accessorized with an embellished safa and a triple stringed necklace. *prince charming feels*

Nupur, on the other hand, slipped into an enchanting rani pink and turquoise lehenga from Raghav Creations. Further drenching her in the aesthetic quintessence of a true royalty was her jaw-dropping huge choker neckpiece, her waterfall earrings and the eye-catching meenakari maang-tikka that stood out. Not to forget how gracefully she was dolled up by the Makeup artist Jaslin in hues of flushed pink. Even their jaimalas perfectly coordinated with their outfits and everything looked super well-knit.

Their Journey of Love

Saurabh & Nupur's journey of love started back in 2015 and has been a roller coaster ride with it's own happy and joyous moments. The bride connotes:

"We both are VIT(Vellore Institute of Technology) University, graduates. It was in 2015 we met for the first time when Saurabh came to recruit students from his company's behalf at VIT University, Vellore. We both worked together in the same company for about a year and fell in love.
It was a roller coaster ride for us. Firstly, it was a boss and an employee relationship at the beginning which got converted to gf-bf later. It was a difficult ride as we were hiding it from everyone in office but, later on, when friends and colleagues got to know, it was a very exciting and the most memorable time of our journey."

Wedding Tips from the Bride

  • Try to be on time or before time so that you can get your portraits clicked and enjoy the functions at the fullest.
  • Always have your bridesmaid around you or at least one person to be with you in your room especially, when you are getting ready.
  • Make sure you click pictures with your family because that's what you are looking for in the end. For a bride, it's important to have pictures with mom, dad, brother or sister for each and every function.
  • For haldi and holi - don't use an extravagant outfit. Keep it simple.
