They say that people rarely believe in the notion of love at first sight. That is until the one person comes along and takes your heart and breath away in one glance. Such is the story of Dr Iman & Dr Adnan.

When Iman and Adnan shared a glance during their night shift at the hospital, the lives of both the doctors changed forever. Also known as the famous Instagram blogger #ThePakistaniBride, Iman fell in love with Adnan, her fellow doctor, during their time together at the same hospital. The duo would bump in each other so often, that after a point, spending time together almost became [art of their natural flow of life. Soon, romance blossomed and the couple finally tied the knot in their London home.

Introducing Iman & Adnan's Glamorous Intimate Wedding

#ImAdnans wedding was planned and managed by Iman herself, who also runs a wedding influencing blog known as The Pakistani Bride. The intimate wedding comprised of two functions- the Dholki and Nikkah. Both the functions took place at Iman's home in London. And both the functions were a melange of colours, that blended so well with the bride's splendour that each moment captured is breathtaking.

Dholki Function

The Dholki function's decor was a group effort by Iman and one of her aunties. Using elements from her earlier planned mehndi such as the signs like 'Iman ki Shaadi' as decor pieces. The function was attended by her closest aunties and friends. For this function, Iman designed her outfit. After searching everywhere (and failing to find) from Lahore and Karachi to India for the perfect yellow lehenga. However, when she couldn't find anything that she instantly fell in love with, Iman bought the fabric for her outfit and got it stitched. Originally, the bride was supposed to travel back to Pakistan to get her outfit fittings, however due to COVID she couldn't. So with just local tailors doing the job, she had her outfit finished, added a gorgeous blue chadar from Shyamal and Bhumika and finally, it was all ready to go!

The entire dholki function, though quaint, was decorated in the most beautiful colours and comprised of endless singing, dancing and food.

Nikkah Celebration

For the Nikkah, most of the decor which consisted of white roses, mirrors and gorgeously glittering lights, symbolising the Sheesh Mahal look, all of which was done by the Event Builders. Furthermore, the couple got married under the large canopy on top of the dancefloor, along with a chadar of jasmine between the couple. Another element that caught our eyes was the amazing Invitation illustration that was made by illustrator Ameer Ali for the bride and groom.

Iman's outfit was another piece of marvel. Dressed in the famous and quintessential red Sabyasachi lehenga, along with gold and white Kundan jewellery and gorgeously done minimal makeup. Marked with splendid decor, a glittering vibe, delicious food and desserts and of course, a lot of dancing after their 'I Do', the Nikkah was a well-celebrated event indeed!
