It was a random winter evening and a mutual friend had the bright idea of matchmaking two tall wedding wishers. After one month of chasing, they finally got the time to come out and see each other for dinner. They went to one of their favourite seafood restaurants near the bride-to-be house which turned into 4 hours, 7-course dinner that ended with the whole staff surrounding them to clear the premises so they could go home, somehow they still didn't want to leave. Well, that's the story of two lovebirds today - Hanna Khan & Shahrukh Merchant. 

On the 2nd and 3rd March 2021, Jaipur played host to the wedding of fashion and luxury blogger Hanna S Khan to her longtime beau Shahrukh Merchant. The two-day event took place at the historic Jai Mahal and Rambagh Palaces. Be it the sister of the bride cum designer who created all the bride's outfits (especially the icy blue Nikaah lehenga) or Hanna Khan's reception gown by Elie Saab that bowled us over. With 6 glamours outfits, pin-worthy decor, notable guests like Tamannaah Bhatia, Sohail Khan and Salman Khan were few to shower their blessing to the couple. #HansUpForSRK wedding was all about a serious dose of inspiration that was captured beautifully by Recall Pictures Photography. 

Introducing Hanna Khan & Shahrukh Merchant's Jaipur Wedding 

If there is one word to describe Hanna Khan & Shahrukh Merchant's Jaipur wedding, then it would be DREAMY. Rewinding her memories of how they actually met Hanna Khan said, "A random Facebook conversation that happened 3 years ago rung a bell in my head when a friend of mine mentioned the name “Shahrukh merchant” and coaxed me into going on a date with him. I spoke to him once on Facebook 3 years ago and stopped replying when he asked me out on a date. I decided to give him a fair chance this time And we began speaking which lasted for a month before I agreed to go on our first date". 

She further added "In the meanwhile, he had already contacted my best friend giving details about himself and discussing our life together if we hypothetically got married.  This showed that he wasn’t afraid of commitment. Our date lasted for about 4 hours, and we spoke about everything there is under the moon to discuss. I had a very positive feeling about us from that day itself as he kept saying the word us whenever he’d talk futuristically and it made me feel some kind of way. We dated for about 6 months until he popped the question".  

Magical Proposal in a Private Beach, Bahrain 

All brides-to-be have some proposal ideas running in their mind and most of them even drop hints about proposal ideas with their to-be-fiance. Sharing his proposal story longtime beau Shahrukh Merchant revealed, "This is the beginning of everything, so I knew it had to be special, I wanted it to be nothing short of a fairy tale. I got a lot of suggestions from close friends, both mine and hers. After hearing them all out, there was nothing that clicked, I felt that for the first time when I saw the beach that it had to be done there. This herculean task was one that I knew couldn't be all managed by myself so I have to give credit where it's due, to Vikram from Mpirevents without whom none of this would be possible. From discussing live artists to decor setup to the food menu, there was endless effort and contribution from his end. Hanna being the proactive person that she is had regularly shared dream proposal ideas to drop hints during our dating phase which helped me create a base to work upon and so I did. Everything else was just a culmination of those thoughts". 

With rosy cheeks and a wide smile, Hanna S Khan added, "We were in Bahrain into the first week of the new decade when he proposed on a private beach. I had absolutely no idea what he was up to all along. He told me we were going on a date and I was all dolled up standing in front of a set up straight out of my dreams. It was every tiny detail that I had spoken about from the roses to fairy lights to the most stunning sunset view that led to my dream proposal spot. The next thing I know he gives the most heartfelt speech and is down on one knee asking me to "Marry him"! I was too emotional and overwhelmed by the whole gesture and could not have asked for a better proposal". 

Unique Chanel Themed Bridal Shower 

With a dreamy proposal where she 'Said Yes', Hanna Khan bridal shower was the talk of the town. Keeping Chanel themed bridal shower this party was drenched with classic black and white colours with a pop of colours like pink blooms and a customised Chanel food menu. Celebrating with her fiance and her close friends this bridal shower was fun and elegant in every way possible. 

Pretty Pink Intimate Mehndi Ceremony 

After the fancy Chanel themed bridal shower now it was the time to kick-start the pre-wedding festivities of #HansUpForSRK. First on the list was a beautiful intimate mehndi ceremony that was kept at home on 28th February 2021. Fashion and luxury blogger Hanna S Khan decided to keep her mehndi look classy and wore a bright green lehenga with a floral cape by Neha Chopra Tandon. Accentuating her mehndi look with Amaris' signature palette of rubies, emeralds with uncut diamonds the bride-to-be looked DREAMY with her braided hairstyle and dainty baby's breath flowers. Coming to the decor, The Decor Company did a fantastic job and kept a pink paradise as the theme, which included fresh flowers and cute floral hanging cane baskets that added as a perfect backdrop for the at-home intimate mehndi ceremony. 

Combined Mehndi Event With Duo In Offbeat Outfits 

Coming to the combined mehndi event, Hanna Khan decided to wear an offbeat red and white colour cape lehenga for the mehndi ceremony that was designed by a renowned designer and sister of the bride, Ohaila Khan. Ohaila designed the outfits carefully keeping in mind Hanna’s preferences and taste ditching similar looks and going for an unconventional bridal look that is closer to Hanna’s liking. Embroidery on each outfit for (Haldi, Mehndi & Nikaah) were taken up to thousands of hours of work and details were given utmost importance. While Hanna looked beauty in her sister's ensemble, Shahrukh Merchant made sure to look dapper in crisp white sherwani by Avinash Punjabi. 

Oh! And brownie points to mother and sister of the bride outfits that we just LOVED! 😍

Fun-Filled Yet Emotional Haldi Ritual

Keeping her haldi look sweet and simple, bride-to-be Hanna Khan stuck to the traditional theme of wearing yellow for her Haldi function. With dainty white and yellow floral haathphool and earrings by Floral Art by Srishti, she looked surreal in a Marori embroidered ombré Badhani sharara by Ohaila Khan. Sister of the bride who happens to be the bridal designer of her functions said, "Every outfit for her wedding events has been custom made with attention to details about her culture personality, taste and themes. Her wedding wardrobe has been gaining immense appreciation due to the exclusive craft and talent seen in every look however the secret ingredient is the threads of love that have been used in the process". 

Dance Till You Drop - The Sangeet Night of #HansUpForSRK 

Putting on their dancing shoes the sangeet at Rambagh Palace was packed with energy. For the dancing night, bride Hanna Khan wore a dazzling pink embellished cape sangeet lehenga by Ohaila Khan which she paired with a two-layered diamond and emerald necklace. With glowing makeup by Meera Sakhrani and a voguish ponytail hairstyle by Ritika hairstylist, Hanna looked straight out of a fairy tale. Coming now to our groom-to-be, Shahrukh Merchant picked a navy blue sherwani set of Falguni Shane Peacock, which matched perfectly with his bride-to-be. 

The Grand Nikaah Day With A Unique Phoolon Ki Chaadar

Finally, after all, the fun pre-wedding ceremonies now it was the time to say #QuboolHai. The grand Nikaah day had a breathtaking pastel theme where fresh blooms in the entry arch, aisle and mandap screamed heaven that was beautifully done by Atisuto Events. Adorning an ivory ensemble by Ohaila Khan that was heavily embroidered with a veil to follow a traditional essence, Hanna Khan bridal look was JAW DROPPING. She further accentuated with cute mini kaleeras by Raabta By Rahul, minimal diamond jewellery and fresh lavender flowers as hair accessories to complete her look.

In fact, what took our breath away (and went viral for all the right reasons) was her stunning bridal entry. With a dreamy veil, a unique phoolon ki chaadar and a gorgeous glass aisle - fashion blogger Hanna Khan made us go in LOVE with her wedding day bridal look. Coordinating with his bride, longtime beau Shahrukh Merchant on the other hand wore an embroidered beige sherwani by Shantanu and Nikhil. 

#Trending Reception Party Where Hanna Khan Wore 30kgs Long-Trail Gown!

Making all the ladies go head-over-heels, Hanna Khan's reception outfit is breaking the internet like a fire. Being India's first bride to wear a custom haute couture Elie Saab bridal outfit, Hanna Khan looked like a princess straight out of a dream. 

The bride's reception gown is a one of a kind Elie Saab was curated specially for Hanna with love and devotion by Mr Elie Saab. The process was extremely personalised and took thousands of hours of embroidery work which led to a stunning outfit weighing approximately 30kgs making Hanna the first Indian bride outfitted by the famed designer. Hanna met Mr Saab back in 2019 when she attended the wedding of Elie Saab Jr.  She was given private access to the floor at Elie Saab headquarters in Beirut where she was shown private bridal samples and collections that haven’t been shown or revealed to anybody else until date. The appointments usually are only for private personnel or clients namely royalty, and with the relation Hanna and her family she’s with family, this dream became a reality. The sketch was created after a lot of back n forth and zoom meetings due to the pandemic but at last, the one of a kind Elie Saab Haute Couture gown was created and it’s simply magnificent and gratifying. The larger than life gown bedecked with Swarovski crystals was topped with a veil that was 8 meters long. 

On the other hand, Shahrukh wore a classic tuxedo by Gaurav Gupta which went perfect with the reception party.
