Paving its way deep into our hearts and filling us up with its happy vibes, this couple's beach wedding in Goa has left us glued to our screens. Glued to the point of constantly skimming through photos without being able to shut down the window basically. Brimming with love and hearty laughs, Pukhraj and Iiro's impassioned wedding with a mellow yet shining aura is ablaze with joy that knows no bounds and never-ending celebrations.
Planned and executed exceptionally well by WedKraft, the wedding looked every bit of effervescent with its copious charm, making the wedding an unforgettable event for everybody. What further makes this wedding a treat to the eyes are the photos that are aesthetically captured by the team of The Picture Patch Photography and exude the wedding's magical vibes phenomenally.
Female priests for their wedding ceremony, the bride's baraat, and the bride's childhood friend who runs a wedding consultancy & design store, By Navjot aiding the couple with their outfits, the wedding was full of unique and personal elements.
Because it's getting harder for us to wait any longer let's just take you right into their joyous wedding celebrations that'll leave you feeling equally mesmerized and overwhelmed!
The first day of their revelries in Goa began with an evening mehndi-cum-cocktail that was one helluva fun and chilled out party starter affair. With picture perfect decor, loads of performances and joyful games, the evening was knit to perfection. For the night, the couple delved into coordinated outfits trend and looked absolutely charming. Iiro donned an olive green and white kurta-pyjama which he paired with a stylish Nehru jacket in hues of melon orange with elegant floral prints.
Whereas, Pukhraj slipped into a beautiful multicolored lehenga ensemble. She wore an off-shoulder rani pink top with a colorful printed skirt in the hue same as that of Iiro's jacket. Adding a definition to her outfit was her navy blue and gold dupatta.
She completed her look with mesmerizing floral-cum-gota jewellery, half-tied crown braid hairstyle and subtle makeup with a bold lip. Adding a sweet personal touch to her bridal mehndi design was how gracefully her design was infused with her permanent sun and snow tattoos (representing her love for Finland & India).
Kickstarting the wedding day with a bang was the bride's baraat in a decked up vintage car that witnessed the bride dancing her heart out while Iiro couldn't take his eyes off her. She later walked down the aisle with her parents to a beguiling seaside peachy mandap for the ceremonies which were officiated by popular female pandits Manisha Shete and Vidyashree Purandre. Yes, you read that right!
Ditiching a bridal lehenga for her d-day, Pukhraj suited herself with a breathtaking saree in turquoise laden with gorgeous embroideries and appliques. She chose turquoise for her saree because she had hair in same color when she first met Iiro which lent a personal touch to her wedding day. Amping up her bridal look was her exquisite jewellery which included a beauteous kundan and meenakari set with precious maroon stones, an elegant three-stringed matha patti, and a huge bangle set. Her hair tied in a bun, light shimmery eyes and a red lip completed her look flawlessly.
Iiro, on the other hand was clad in an ivory bandhgala that he paired with a turquoise stole to complement Pukhraj perfectly. No wonder, both of them looked absolutely adorable together.
The wedding was subsequently followed by the reception dinner with surprise performances, heartfelt speeches and everybody grooving into the wee hours of the night. For the party, while Iiro changed into a navy bandhgala jacket and beige trousers, Pukhraj let her hair down and donned a navy and ivroy skirt and crop top with shimmery embroideries.
Yet another personal element that Pukhraj planted in their wedding was her, slipping into her Puma shoes for the reception that she previously wore in Helsinki for their civil court wedding.
Currently living in Helsinki, Finland, while Iiro is from Finland, Chennai born Pukhraj, lived majority of her life in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. The couple met on Tinder when initially it wasn't meant to be a serious relationship. When they met, Pukhraj's plan was to go to London for her study exchange for 6 months and then move back to India. Though in those few months, Iiro & Pukhraj become inseparable where Iiro would fly to meet her in London and she would do the same to meet him. Consequently, she didn't move back to India but went back to Finland to give the relationship an actual chance.
Wedding planner & decorators: WedKraft International, Goa, did our decor & planning. Me being a highly picky bride who also didn't want to waste money on unnecessary decorations, Dennis from the WedKraft Goa Wedding Planners was a great listener, highly supportive and an excellent resource. They did a great job at the decor as well, especially with the huge #PUKHIIRO hashtag monogram that Iiro & I were sad about not being able to take it with us to Finland!
Wedding Photographer: The Picture Patch Photography is again an absolutely amazing bunch of photographers who take feedback not only pre & post wedding but also at the moment during the wedding. Highly talented and highly recommended.
Makeup & Hair: For Day 1, Halima Nizami did an excellent job with my Mehndi look. For Day 2, Sukanya Manerikar who is a legend, extremely sweet and understanding did both the Wedding & Reception look and I’m clearly super satisfied.
