This First-Ever Indian Wedding In Disneyland Paris Is Everything Dreamy & Fancy

Rashmi Jayara, 03 Nov 2019

Remember the childhood days when you used to talk about how whimsical your wedding would be? There is no denial in the fact, that most of us have dreamt of having a grand entry in a fanciful carriage. Just like Cinderella, you'd want to wait for your prince charming in a long glamourous dress. Well, some of us are lucky enough to experience the fairytale in real life.

Here’s a story of a London based couple who actually lived their dreams by celebrating their wedding in Disneyland Paris.  They were the first-ever Indian couple to do that. Varun Bhanot & Anisha Seth (VARISHA) met each other while they were studying law. Their mutual love for organising events resulted in a such a grand level of wedding. It took them almost a year to plan their extravaganza 2-day Bollywood wedding for around 350 guests. The wedding was designed by Vivaah Weddings from Dubai. They made sure to give the guests and the couple, an experience for a lifetime. Rashpal Photography captured the moments of the fairytale, very beautifully. And of course, social media was flooded with their breathtaking photographs.

The Wedding Where"Bollywood Meets Disneyland"

Day 1: White Wedding & Sangeet

The first day started with a sumptuous welcome lunch at Newport Bay Club. Our beloved character from Mickey Mouse, Goofy was also seen enjoying bhangra on dhol beats. And in the evening, the very famous Disney Illuminations Fireworks Show was arranged. In the Aladdin’s Agrabah Cafe, a themed banquet was adorned with the genie, to entertain the guests. In the midnight, the white wedding took place in front of the alluring Sleeping Beauty’s Castle; followed by a groovy sangeet night. The bride had the fairytale entry on a horse-drawn carriage, wearing a floor-length white gown. The groom and the bride danced their heart out in the Sangeet ceremony.

Day  2: Traditional Wedding & Reception

The traditional wedding took place on the second day. The groom entered with the Baraat and lots of dancing. The bride looked no less than a princess as she made a grand entry in a palanquin. The couple did all the Hindu rituals in front of the Disney Lake. The day ended with a glorious reception where the couple had their first dance alongside our favourite couple from childhood, Minnie and Mickey.
