Latest Designer Collections fresh off the Ramp of ICW 2019
Swaying our hearts with his couture collection- ‘Lumen-The light of a Human’, designer Amit Aggarwal opened the show with his statement sculpted lehengas & drapes, followed by Suneet Varma’s glitzy representation of precious finery & opulent mirror-work. Unfolding the elegance further were designers Pankaj & Nidhi and Rahul Mishra who showcased iridescent colour-palette and a phenomenal play of florals respectively.
Moving ahead, couturier Sulakshana Monga brought out the best of Indian heritage through her colourful lehengas embroidered with Vedic chants & left us all smitten. On the other hand, the designer duo Shyamal & Bhumika displayed the elegance of Renaissance through their panelled lehengas & shoulder-baring blouses and instantly got us winning. Keeping up with their signature style, designers Gaurav Gupta & Falguni Shane Peacock too experimented with zardozi, chikankari & applique work in their latest collections and put forth voluminously wide to perpendicularly narrow silhouettes. And in the end, giving us gobs of inspiration was maestro Tarun Tahiliani whose lightweight yet visually heavy ensembles emerges as a pure delight for the millennial brides.
All in all, it was a great show and here’s our round-up of the best styles we spotted at FDCI India Couture Week this year! From brides, grooms to bridesmaids, we’ve enlisted something for everyone!
