A five-day affair with every ceremony sweeping us off our feet, decor that was amazeballs, stylish outfits that have our hearts, and the groom entering in a Batmobile (yes, a BATMOBILE!), this couple’s Bangkok wedding spoke of opulence that has us hooked. And well, it would have you scrolling until the end (we bet you on this).
Mira and Ravine's big fat wedding at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queens Park, Thailand took the magnificence of Indian wedding revelries a notch above! Having said that, for every little and big element that went into making this wedding festivity a spectacle, Pink Palki perfectly planned everything. The cherry on top was the lens of DotDusk Studios who like always captured the entire wedding extraordinarily in its true essence.
When we got our hands on this gorgeous wedding, literally everything left us wide-eyed but, there were certain elements throughout the wedding that had us going "Oh my gosh" (while holding our breaths!). So without much anticipation let's show you what we loved the best!
Just like exchanging rings is the beginning of every couple’s new life, so was Mira and Ravine’s engagement venue entrance. Instead of a basic door, a storybook setting served as the entrance where the left side of the book was an actual doorway to the floral heaven that awaited them. The right side though had their love story etched beginning with the mushy “once upon a time”. The decor was done completely in white drapes and florals with different lights adding hues to the whole place. The crown-shaped chariot stage setting was another highlight of the evening! (Just look at the photos)
~The Janya Ceremony
For the Janya ceremony, the ceiling was adorned with white drapes and large silver bells. And yet again, the canopied stage and the whole place was decorated heavily in white hydrangeas with baby’s breath and ferns.
The decor for Mira’s mehndi was straight out of a fantasy wonderland that left everyone bewitched and in complete awe. With the floor covered in grass and the ceiling of the mandap decorated with beautiful drapes and colorful butterfly cutouts, Mira’s mehndi setting was done in a plethora of multi-hued flowers.
~The Sangeet Night
The decor for the couple’s sangeet night was exquisitely classy. Done in red and black drapes, beautiful golden lights, cascading baubles with rose petals, and huge floral centerpieces with crystal hangings, the splendor of the whole venue were unmissable.
(Not to miss out on the raised piano resembling 15ft bar with fancy hanging adornments)
~The Wedding Day
The couple took their pheras under a dreamy huge dome-shaped mandap gorgeously done in drapes and plenty of blooms. Decorated in hues of purples and pinks with white, the place looked princessy and the 360 degrees LED projection of the ocean in the entire ballroom gave just the right amount of beachy feels.
For the reception, the couple had a whimsical rainforest themed decor with frilly drapes, swings, big animal installations, hanging foliage adornments and loads of lush greens and flowers. The vivacity of this enchanted garden decor with glass chairs and a glam couple is absolutely unmatched.
For their engagement, Mira paired her marsala Manish Malhotra off-shoulder gown with an antique belt and a diamond set while Ravine chose a D-Squared attire with Zanotti loafers.
~The Janya Ceremony
Ravine and his whole family donned Cherie D ensembles in cream and gold whereas, Mira opted for a heavily embroidered Tarun Tahiliani navy blue runway couture piece.
Complementing the florals of the mehndi decor, Mira wore a pastel grey one-shoulder gown with sequinned florals by Manish Malhotra. Ravine chose to complement her in a baby pink kurta-pyjama with a sage green floral embroidered bandhgala by Just Men.
~The Sangeet Night
To match up to the class of their sangeet night, Mira wore a royal blue heavily embellished velvet Sabyasachi lehenga and Ravine wore an embroidered matching sherwani.
~The Wedding Day
For their wedding, while Mira paired a statement ivory Sabyasachi with beautiful polki and emerald jewellery, Ravine donned a golden sequinned beige Manish Malhotra sherwani.
For their reception, the couple decided to opt for Manish Malhotra runway couture pieces. Ravine chose a heavily gold embroidered black tuxedo and Mira wore a stunning heavily embellished ivory lehenga with floor-length cape sleeves.
With this, the couple introduced us to a never before seen new way of partying. The party was themed around sneakers since Ravine is the founder-owner of the shoe company Sneaker Surge. Every guest present there received a pair of LED lit up sneakers which they wore throughout the party. The couple's parents in jackets that read RaRa, performances in LED-lit costumes and the couple's blingy outfits—everything aptly made up for this party titled "Let's Get Lit".
Yet another thing that left all the guests and us ogling in amazement was the groom's offbeat baraat entry in a batmobile. With all the baraatis dressed in yellow t-shirts, safas and black capes, rapper Shah Rule's custom theme song for their baraat and of course a batman chaffeur, this baraat has probably made it down into history.
The whole wedding extravanganza saw innumerable performances by various artists, family members, Meet Bros and the famous dance group MJ5.
This wedding trailer will surely keep you all hooked to the amazing #RARA wedding. It also features rapper Shah Rule's hep custom-made baraat song!
