When India's most sought after bridal couturier designs for her son's wedding, it is sure to make all eyes pop and leave hearts envious. With the aesthetics of the wedding being a ten on ten, Anita Dongra got her son married in the most splendid way possible amidst the high-rise mountains of Shivalik in the Queen of Hills, Mussoorie at the lavish properties of JW Marriott and WelcomHotel The Savoy.
Yash Dongre, Business head at House of Anita Dongre Ltd. tied the knot with Benaisha Kharas who runs an image consultancy firm and is also a fashion stylist. 10 years of knowing each other along with a fair share of ups & downs led to this exceptionally beautiful wedding that we are not getting over anytime soon. Reshme Saigal Weddings designed and executed this surreal wedding with the best vendors on board to make it look nothing less than a whimsical paradise. Proficient teams of Naman Verma Photography and Mazda Studios captured the wedding in its beauteous best. Set against the scenic view of the snow-capped Himalayas, this closely-knit wedding of Yash and Benaisha radiated love and beauty in every sense.
The wedding festivities of Yash and Benaisha in Mussoorie began with a carnival-themed brunch. The couple coordinated in floral embroidered outfits by Anita Dongre's sustainable fashion line Grassroot, that matched the pastel-hued floral decorations. They kept the outfits lightweight and fuss-free that allowed them the freedom to spend quality time with friends and family. The women of SEWA (Self-employed Women’s Association) rallied to create the meticulously embroidered twinning look of the couple.
With the entire venue bedecked with fairy lights, Yash and Benaisha's wedding cocktail was a lit affair. They both kept the coordination game strong and turned up in ink blue Anita Dongre outfits. While Benaisha wore a sleeveless and deep neckline gown with intricate pichhwai work, Yash looked dapper in a classic sherwani. Their minimal yet elegant looks make their wedding an absolute source of inspiration for the millennial couples.
JW Marriott, Mussoorie witnessed the couple's Sangeet ceremony which was a night full of giggles, fun and of course, dance. Benaisha's emerald green lehenga embellished with intricate hand-painted pichhwai works was a feast for our eyes. Yash complemented her well in a custom ivory sherwani featuring green and blue foliage and floral embroideries.
"The forecast predicted rain showers on the couple's special day. But the weather gods came through and blessed the couple with clear skies, the sun shining down on them," expressed Anita Dongre in an Instagram post. And we couldn't be happier, how else could we get to lay our eyes on the beauty of this wedding.
Benaisha always wanted to get married in pink. So, Anita Dongre exclusively designed a custom gota patti lehenga that had the bride's favorite quote embroidered on it. It read, "When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew." Isn't that sweet?
The groom made high-spirited entry with the coordinated groomsmen.
The bride chose to walk down the aisle with her father for the wedding that marked the union of Hindu & Zoroastrian faiths.
The ace designer Anita Dongre also designed identical ensembles for the groomsmen and bridesmaids for the wedding ceremony.
