Steffi & Zeel's Irresistible Wedding Ceremonies

The Kankotri Ceremony

Steffi and Zeel commenced their wedding shenanigans with an auspicious Kankotri ceremony (invitation writing ceremony) where the duo had their families inviting each other and their first families. It was a low-key affair with only close family members in presence.

Putting their best fashion foot forward right from the beginning, Steffi and Zeel got our hearts melting in awe. While Steffi dressed herself in a stunning Anarkali suit with an elegant printed dupatta & teamed her look with subtle makeup, a low messy bun and some notable jewels. Zeel, on the other hand, kept it all minimal yet classy and wore a nude-beige Kurta-Pajama set for the ceremony.

The Spiritual Shenanigans

~ Puja Ceremony at the Bride's place

Followed by the Kankotri ceremony was a series of puja ceremonies at the bride & groom’s place. Seeking blessings from god and beginning the proceedings on a spiritual note, the couple first hosted an intimate Grah Shaanti Pooja at the bride’s place. It witnessed the two families and the couple chanting religious hymns & prayers. Steffi radiated like the sun in her vibrant yellow gota patti suit and made for a gorgeous bride. She fashioned her look with naturally wavy open tresses, a pair of jhumkas and dewy makeup.

~Guru Poojan

Soon after the grah shanti puja, the couple had the guru poojan, the same day. It was again held at the bride’s place in the presence of the couple’s immediate families. For the auspicious ceremony, Steffi slipped into a dazzling navy blue Anarkali suit which she paired with a contrasting dupatta. Keeping her look simple yet elegant she pulled her hair into a loosely-tied braid and teamed her look with elaborate jhumkas, flushed cheeks, bold lids and subtle lips. Zeel whereas, picked a sophisticated printed kurta pajama and looked every bit desi.

~Grah Shanti Pooja at the Groom's place

The next day, Steffi & Zeel hosted a sacred Grah Shanti Pooja at the groom’s place. The ceremony proved to be a pious start to their wedding rituals. The holy vibes & peaceful surroundings added to the beauty of the puja ceremony. What further got us hooked were the couple’s attention-grabbing looks. Zeel made a dapper groom in his white kurta-pajama set which he styled with a colorful Nehru jacket. Steffi too dressed to impress in her tantalizing pink silk saree and a yellow blouse.

Brij Ki Holi

Taking their celebrations to a whole new level, Steffi & Zeel had a special ‘Brij Ki Holi’ function. It was one helluva bash which began with a ‘Phoolon Ki Holi’ and was further played with colours and confetti. A surprise flash mob was also planned for the day by the couple’s friends & family members and it was high on quirk vibe.

The decorations were done in popping hues. While the ceiling was a sky full of colours, the photo booth boasted of a wall made of handmade flowers and a beautifully decorated rickshaw. What further upped the effervescence of the ceremony were the sunshine-ing, looks of the couple. Zeel smartly wore a bright yellow kurta-pajama with a tie & dye stole & looked smart AF. Complementing her bae equally well, Steffi too dressed herself in a dreamy yellow lehenga with noteworthy baubles and frolicked around like a happy-go-lucky bride throughout the event.

Carnival-themed Mehndi

After the phoolon ki holi, Steffi & Zeel celebrated a hep carnival themed sundowner mehndi which was brimming with ogle-worthy decor elements. Right from the impressive marigold entrance to the colourful sitting lounges, everything was inked in vibrant hues. To keep the guests entertained, a lot of folk dancers and performers were brought on board. Also, not to forget the skilled mehndi artists who inked the bride & groom’s hands with the auspicious henna.

For the mehndi, Steffi wore a pristine white sequinned lehenga skirt with a pink banarasi blouse & a jaalidaar dupatta. She suitably accessorised it with a layered enamelled haar and some chunky bangles. Keeping her makeup minimal, she touched-up her face with a hint of blush, some beaming highlighter, nude pink lips & a tiny bindi. Zeel whereas, picked a baby pink kurta-pajama and perfectly paired it up with a printed Nehru jacket

Groovy Sangeet

Bedecked with flowy drapes, cascading decor elements, crystallised chandeliers & stunning floral arrangements, the Sangeet was one gala celebration. It witnessed everyone dancing crazily & setting the temperatures high with their groovy moves. However, the showstopper for the night was definitely the lovely couple. The two not only left everyone awestruck with their sizzling dance performance but also with their sartorial choices.

Steffi literally shone like a star in her scintillating mauve Falguni Shane Peacock outfit sprinkled with metallic charms. Adding the needed sheen to her look, she teamed her ensemble with some drool-worthy diamond jewels & let her subtle makeup & half-tie hairdo complete the look. Zeel, on the other hand, looked like a debonair groom in his navy-blue achkan and white kurta-pants set.

Flamboyant Haldi

The Haldi ceremony was no less on the fun quotient for both, the bride as well as the groom’s squad. While Zeel’s haldi ceremony began with a few rituals and was later followed by the usual haldi application and the not-so-usual splashes of water. The bride’s Haldi proceedings, on the other hand, were super warm yet high-spirited. Everyone enjoyed smearing the lovely bride with the auspicious turmeric paste and these pictures are proof!

Zeel kept his Haldi look super casual & timeless. He rocked a basic pale yellow kurta with a pair of white churidars during the puja. Steffi whereas, didn’t shy away from nailing an extraordinarily beautiful look, yet again. She wore a pretty yellow saree with a pink brocade blouse. However, the highlight from her look was her mesmerising floral jewellery made of fresh flowers. It infused a dash of elegance to her look.

Delightful Wedding

Steffi and Zeel's gorgeous nuptials were a visual treat to our eyes. The celebrations took place at an outdoor setting and the venue was beautifully bedecked in surreal floral arrangements. The entrance area was prettified with a huge floral archway and a hint of lush greens. The wedding stage where all the action took place was also adorned with a floral embedded backdrop, which added truckloads of charm to their solemnisation. We loved how the groom made a spectacular dancing entry to the venue with all the baraatis, while the bride walked down the aisle under a phenomenal mogra phoolon ki chaadar.

Dressed in a deep red Sabyasachi lehenga with double dupattas & a embellished blouse, Steffi looked like a royal queen on her wedding. She aced her wedding day look with just the right amount of baubles to pair with her attire. While an elaborate choker necklace cinched her neck, a couple of elegant laac bangles, a beauteous matha patti and a minimalistic nath further gave her wedding day look all the queenly feels. To finish off her look with utmost perfection, makeup artist Ulupi Parikh dolled up her face with smokey eyes, taupe lips and a dash of beaming highlighter for the cheeks. Taking their coordination game a notch above, Zeel picked up a stylish Sabyasachi sherwani which was replete with elegant floral embroideries. He paired it up with a layered haar and a traditional red-gold safa.

Smashing Reception

Soon after the phera ceremony, the couple hosted a sparkling after-bash, for which the two changed into another set of designer outfits. The duo walked hand-in-hand to the venue through an archway of sparklers and it was indeed one starry moment. However, more than that we loved what the couple wore for the bash. While Zeel stuck to a classic navy blue tux with a white shirt and a velveteen bow tie, Steffi, on the other hand, picked a glimmering gold gown for the reception to sparkle everyone's eyes.
