This is the story of a modern bride with a fierce heart and an elegant groom with a soft corner for his best friend and bride. Aarsh and Gurtaj's wedding was one of the many weddings that suffered countless postponements due to the pandemic. And every time their wedding was postponed, the couple were forced to start their planning all over again. Thankfully, things finally worked out for them and the couple managed to tie the knot in August 2021!

Introducing Aarsh & Gurtaj

"I am an easy-breezy bride, who finds class and elegance in being minimalistic," reveals Aarsh, "And I had a pandemic wedding which was delayed 3 times! Every single time my wedding gets postponed, I had to start from point zero with my wedding planning. A year of frustration and resentment went by and I finally got married in August 2021."

Talking about having a mid pandemic wedding, Aarsh revealed to us about all the stress and anxiety that came with the planning and waiting process, "All my outfits and jewellery were bought in Jan 2020. I always had a fear of not fitting into my wedding outfits, plus I was also afraid of my outfits going out of style. And since I always wanted a big wedding, the idea of a smaller wedding saddened me. Nevertheless, I had no control over it, so I just decided to be grateful for having myself and my loved ones being healthy during the pandemic."

Yet, both Aarsh and Gurtaj held their heads high and tied the knot in a close-knit wedding in Vancouver which was nothing short of spectacular, "I think everything comes to you at the right time. I had an intimate wedding in my backyard and it was just perfect. More than what I ever imagined. Just to mention, all of my outfits fit me fine and I realized that elegance never goes of style. I completely rocked my every look!"

To Arsh and Gurtaj, at the end of the day, what mattered was that they married their best friends. 

GORG Mehndi Ceremony on a Yacht

Aarsh's mehendi took place on a gorgeous yacht floating on the blue water of Downtown Vancouver, surrounded by the serene beauty of mountains. Dressed in a beautiful red and blue saree by Anita Dongre, the bride to be looked gorgeous as she got her mehendi done and danced the eve away with her friends and family.

Simple & Sweet Sangeet Function

For the sangeet, Aarsh dressed up in a beautiful yellow lehenga by Anita Dongre which she paired with a beautiful choker and open hair adorned with baby's breath flowers.

An Intimate Wedding Drenched in Pastels

The wedding was a beautiful affair drenched in gouache colours. Dressed in a stunning peach and pink ensemble by Rimple and Harpreet, Aarsh looked dreamy. Whereas, Gurtaj chose a Puneet Arora outfit to match his bride in full splendour.

Grand Reception Party

Following the wedding was the reception night, which was yet another beautiful affair with white decor dotted with yellow roses and tulips. Aarsh wore a sparkling off-white gown with yellow flowers by Anushree Reddy whereas Gurtaj looked dapper in a blue and black tux.
