5 Fun Ways To Keep The Little Guests Busy At Your Wedding!

Sudatta Bhattacharjee, 20 Dec 2016

The mere presence of kids especially at weddings makes my heart leap in joy. Imagining the sight of them in the cutest little lehengas and sherwanis, their teeny tiny toes fitted in little colourful jootis, their mini braided hairstyles or their oversized glares (oh so cuuuute!!!) – Everything about kids makes me SUPER HAPPY!

But then not everybody has to feel the same way as I do. Let’s be a little honest here. Weddings are way more exciting for us adults. As far as it concerns the little ones, they can no doubt be a lot of fun at weddings but they are also quite capable of breaking all hell loose. Courtesy - their unpredictable mood swings.

When we spoke to wedding photographer Anupa Shah of Anupa Shah Photography, she sounded ecstatic. “When it comes to children and weddings, the latter doesn’t really make much sense to them. Kids are so carefree about everything; they hardly have any stress. It’s always fun to shoot these little ones at the weddings. They are so engrossed in their own little world and being able to capture them in that moment is simply priceless,” said Anupa.

1) Provided your wedding venue has an open space arrangement, you can always keep outdoor fun games such as Jenga, Lego boxes, Barbie dolls and Treasure hunt. Putting up small tents for a kids section can also be a great idea.

2) It would be even more wiser to have a Kids Station. All you need are a few colouring books, crayons, candies and some colourful mats. Kids and colour always go parallel.

3) You can also have a separate kids-only photo booth and make sure to stuff them with props such as funny hats, tutus, oversized glares, disposable cameras, magic wands/ glow sticks, moustaches and lips on sticks etc.

4) Keep personalised goodie bags for the children and they will remember you throughout
