With already 15 days into 2018 it's now time to go out with the old and get in with new. So, taking the “new year, new look” into consideration we headed to our expert makeup artists to unveil the makeup beauty trends that’s all set to flood your Instagram feeds this year.

Here’s curating down the beauty trends of the year!

Don't fear the sheer

Going with the rule of less is more, the contour palette can direct airport traffic.“Dewy and more natural look with either lips or eyes doing it all will be seen making statements," says Makeup Artist Pratishtha Arora.

Go with the Glow

Chuck the powdery products and say yes to cream-based highlighters. Makeup Artist Aakriti Kochar says, “This year skin will be more about shimmer and dewy glow. One can achieve that glow by mixing a few drops of highlighter in the foundation. There is no accessory better than glowing skin between all the festivities."

Gloss is again a boss

Bid adieu to your matte products and say hello to glossy products yet again. Yes, finally the much loved glossy trends are all set to make a comeback and we are happier than ever. “Lipglosses in shades of soft pink and neutral color will be trending this year”, reveals Makeup Artist Aanchal Kumar.

Let the color pop

Brights are going to be big in 2018. Deep blue, shimmery blue is going to be trending colors for eye makeup this season says MUA, Aakriti Kochhar. Yes, this is the year to experiment with poppy eyeshadow palettes and bright lips colors you've never thought to try.

Strobing Over Contouring

Bronzers and dark products will be seen to hit the trail with only reflective products doing it all, reveals, MUA Pratishtha Arora.

Hues of Metal

Metallic Lips - Looking glitzy is high up on this season's most-wanted list. This trend is posh, edgy and surprisingly wearable. Metallic lips are all set to roll in 2018 reveals MUA, Pratishtha Arora.

Metallic Eyes - “Metallic tones are out there and flashy so, if your style screams confidence then this look is for you," says Aakriti Kochar.

Eyes that Shimmer

Bling is out and about, with keeping the rest of the look natural and dewy, more and more of emphasis will be on the eyes. The trend of shimmery eyes will make the basic look stand out, reveals Aanchal Kumar.
