Designer Anju Modi well-known for creating majestic costumes for movies such as Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani presented her newest collection named, 'Sunehri Kothi' at India Couture Week 2017.
The collection takes it inspiration from striking paintings of the Kishangarh School of Art and aims to reawaken the imperial culture of India. The couture line witnessed lehengas with waist belts (so that you can dance like crazy on your wedding functions without having to worry about your outfit!), asymmetrical gowns, anarkalis and capes along with her signature silhouettes in intricate zardosi and gota work for the soon to be brides.
But what we, at ShaadiSaga, loved the most about her collection this time was - colour blocking. She took lemon hues and paired with shades of olive, mustards can be seen combined with eggplant colours and blush pinks.
Even in grooms wear, extravagant safas with kalgis, brooches on garments and dupattas were to be seen.
