Midnight pheras call for midnight snacks.

Serving munchies that the guests can have while your pheras (whether day or night!) are going on is becoming an essential, and we absolutely know why!

After days and days of dancing and drinking (and not eating properly!), pheras is the time your closest family and friends will be comfortably seated for hours instead of rushing here and there! Plus, who doesn't like snacking in between? ;)

We spotted some ideas at real weddings and also spoke to The Wedding Soul, who are among the best wedding planners in the country, and found out phera snacks, savoury delights and sweet treats, that you could include in your day or night wedding.

Aanchal, Co-Founder of The Wedding Soul, adds, "The idea is to serve food during pheras that look minimalistic. Mostly because it's packed in tiny containers and placed on each chair, and if it's too loud, it's going to appear as a mess. Go for lighter snacks that are finger foods. Extremely sticky and oily foods are a big no!"

Sabudana papad, bhel puri and masala peanuts (without the skin aka chilka)

On Subhashree & Jonathan’s Pinterest-worthy wedding, we saw a kiosk for phera snacks that was set up on a wooden table. With jute runners on the base, the banner said, "Kuch Aur Lo" and had munchies such as masala peanuts, sabu daana papad, bhelpuri and gems!

Some more comfort and yummy foods that your guests would just gobble up during pheras:

#1 Popcorn

Aanchal says, “Popcorns are so addictive. You can’t stop at one. They're easy to serve and feels like you’re at the movies”.

#2 Cherries and Berries

She recommends, "It's best to serve foods that are seasonal and pair well keeping the weather in mind". And aren't sweet berries the sweetest? <3

#3 Corn

Filling, tempting and easy to eat. You can have a refreshingly clean salad or simply add loads of butter and you're good to go!

#4 Dry Fruits!

Snacking on dry fruits is the best winter season pastime. Get some roasted or toasted pistachios, almonds and nuts!

#5 Cheese Crackers With Dips

A staple of every kitchen and a true snacking pleasure, cheese crackers are everyone's favourite. Don't forget to add a scrumptious dip in the pack.

#6 Nachos with Salsa Sauce

I don’t think anyone in the world dislikes nachos! These munchies are addictive and everyone’s go-to snack. Pair it up with salsa sauce or cheese dip and you’ll have some very happy guests.

#7 Makhane (Fox Nuts!)

If you have a healthy bunch of guests who are conscious about the calories they eat or have consumed during your wedding celebrations, have flavourful makhanes that are tremendously wholesome!

#8 Fryums

And if you don't have a bunch who are calorie-conscious, mess-free fryums are a great alternative too!

#9 Maggi Noodles

Getting married in winters? Spread happiness amongst your guests with a hot delicious bowl of maggi *already drooling*

#10 Doughnuts and Cupcakes

Bite-sized sweets for a sweet ending to your wedding celebrations!
