The statistics say, 6 in 10 brides wish to look like their favorite celebrity on their wedding. Umm, kiddin’! I just made that up. But, hey, you can’t ignore the truth: Bollywood celebrities are trend-setters that have many a bride-to-be lusting over their wardrobes. From Sonam Kapoor to Alia Bhatt and Neha Dhupia, celebrities have walked the runways and red carpets wearing some of the most affluent labels that have set new trends, featured some breath-taking embroidery works, and above all, redefined fashion for us. And, when it comes to lehengas, you just know you want to rush to Chandni Chowk to scout for a replica the moment you see one (*looks at bank balance, cries vehemently*).

That said, this year, we spotted some brilliant lehengas on our Bollywood belles that have had us salivating over their make, and we just couldn’t help but share them with you. Whether you’re getting married this winter, looking for an outfit for your sister’s wedding, or simply attending a function, we’re sure you’ll find “the one” here. Brace yourself for some inspiration:
Photo Credits: Pinkvilla Cream and Gold, never gets old! Anushka’s exquisite Shantanu & Nikhil lehenga is suave and classy, so much so, that there was no need for over-accessorizing the outfit, despite it being a rather unadorned pick. Brownie points for the addition of red, though.
Photo Credits: Pinkvilla Better hurry up before this done-to-death trend finally takes a back-seat! Trust Sabya to add leather belts to lehengas and still rock it. Taking cropped tops and flowy skirts to an all new level, Kangana’s lehenga is every bit regal and, to be honest, a welcome change from all the blinding bling. Think you can pull this off?
Photo Credits: Beauty and Fashion Freaks The choli, oh, the choli. Any other celebrity and this lehenga would’ve swallowed her whole. But, it’s Sonam whose confidence and style makes almost anything work. We can’t wait to see this one on a real-life bride. What say you? Would you dare?
Photo Credits: Pinterest Sidelining bling is yet another celebrity known for her daring fashion choices. Richa’s royal blue lehenga with an eccentric choli is your perfect choice for a Sangeet or engagement ceremony. It’s bold, modern, and so, so regal!
Photo Credits: Violetstreet Call multi-colored lehenga is an au courant choice, but never, ever underestimate the elegance of a single-toned lehenga. Sophie’s gorgeous velvet and silk Manish Malhotra with shine borders is every bride’s dream, don’t you think?
Photo Credits: Pinkvilla Can we just take a moment to appreciate the grace that Esha exudes as well as the addition of pink to this gray lehenga? When it’s a modern, casual approach you’d like to take for a wedding function, this is the styling you heed.
Photo Credits: IndiaBazaarOnline She pushes boundaries with such confidence, it’s almost impossible to not applaud her choices! What could easily be passed off as just another understated lehenga, turned out to be a svelte example of power dressing in traditions. We love how Neha didn’t need even an iota of bling to make it work.
Photo Credits: The Indian Express Yet another Manish Malhotra spotting, Genelia’s peppy pink lehenga with a gorgeous net dupatta makes us go weak in our knees. Just. Can’t. Get. Over. The. Black. And. Golden. Border. Ain’t this one perfect for your engagement ceremony?

Photo Credits: Pinterest Hotness – Check. Color combination – check. Confidence – double check. Few have it in them to pull off a plunging neckline such as this. But, Nargis makes it work and how! We’re in love with designer Anushree Reddy’s suave lehengas that are simply eye-pleasing and so, so fresh. This mint and pink lehenga is one of our favorite spottings this year.
Photo Credits: Pinterest No matter what extend you may want to go to ignore it, there’s something about red that puts bridal lehengas in every other color to shame. This Manish Malhotra treat is a fine example of the good ol’ red and gold, making this a timeless choice for the modern bride. Our favorite thing about this lehenga, however, is the addition of a light brown net dupatta that tones down the bling with such elan.
