Being a bridey, you have to seriously pay attention to your skin from an early stage to make sure that there are no acne breakouts on your main day. Acne won’t only make it difficult for the makeup artist to work on your skin but will also require more layering. Helping you be a naturally beautiful bride, clear skin definitely results in better pictures. Now, who doesn’t want that, right?

Brides, your skin requires attention, a LOT of it. If ignored, it can literally go haywire sometimes even causing irreparable damage. Therefore, we are bringing to you ways that will ensure that your skin remains 100% acne free at the time of your wedding:

1. Eat organic

Eat the right kind of food. Give your chocolates a break and make fruits and vegetables your new found BFF (You're allowed some dark chocolate, though!). Your wedding week diet should strictly be organic home cooked food and not those greasy oily pakwaans from your wedding. Oily junk food is acne’s first best friend.

2. Hydrate

In this sweating heat, drink about 8-10 glasses of water to help your skin detoxify. The more water you drink, the better your skin will feel. Water will clean out your skin naturally.

3. Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acids

(They are two effective ingredients that help in getting rid of acne sooner than you might have expected)

Use a face wash which has Benzoyl in it and a toner with about 2% concentrate of salicylic acid. They kill the bacteria which gives birth to acne. Hit us up if you want to know the brands selling face wash and toners with these ingredients.

4. Visit a dermatologist a few months before your wedding

Honestly, taking clinical sittings to ensure skin brightening and depigmentation has become as basic as getting a facial done. If you have terrible acne, sign up for an acne treatment programme well in advance. Chemical peels like TCA, Glycolic acid and salicylic acid peels are excellent for acne and scars.

5. Use home remedies that fight pimples

Lemon, aloe vera, tea tree oil are few very effective ingredients that fight acne at its best. Also, a neem and chandan pack goes a long way to give you a healthy skin. A single cube of ice would immediately help reduce redness and pain.

6. Dare not skip the Sunblock!

It is literally criminal to step out in the scorching hit without sunscreens. And please give moisturizers with SPF a break and invest in an actual sunscreen. You are getting married, let’s talk business here.

7. Follow a night regime

Seriously, don’t even consider going to bed without lathering on a night mask followed by a night cream. If you are not using at least 2 face masks every night, then darling you are not even close to bridal skin care.

8. Avoid stressing yourself in the last week

We understand that some designers can really be a nuisance and that last minute fittings are so crucial. But, be firm and plan these things well in advance. Last week should only and we mean only to be left for your spas and homemade treatments.

9.  Catch up on your sleep

One of the major reasons for breakouts and skin that looks worn out is lack of sleep. Ignore the marriage hustle bustle at least when you have hit the bed. Every person needs 8 hours of sleep to remain calm and being a bridezilla you will surely need more of it.

10. Go make up free

It will be a great idea to stop using makeup on your skin at least a month in advance. Yes, not even that water based concealer or that vitamin E primer. Strictly follow only and only CTM and see the wonders it does.
