The wedding season is officially about to kick in, and this year, it's time to think beyond fiery red, hot pink and tangy orange.
"Whaaat? I'm the bride and I have the option of ditching bright colours?"
YES! That's what we learnt at Vogue Wedding Show 2017 this year when we exclusively spoke to finest couturiers such as Anita Dongre, Shyamal and Bhumika and Jade by Monica and Karishma who disclosed newest, unconventional and exciting colours for brides-to-be.
While we all know red has been the most admired (read obvious!) preference for brides when it comes to picking the perfect bridal outfit, there are some new and fresh shades gradually making their way to Indian weddings.
Anita Dongre, the queen of gota patti work says, "Besides the classic red, ink blue and emerald green shades are the colours for brides this season".
Ahmadabad based designer duo, Shyamal and Bhumika, share similar thoughts too. Shyamal says, "Brides these days are choosing wedding outfits in tones of green, blue or scarlet red with a hint of pink".

Whereas Karishma from Jade by Monica and Karishma feels that brides have started moving away from the age-old red shade for their bridal outfit and are experimenting with colours such as rose pink and coral.
