20 Favourite Picks From Anita Dongre's Show | India Couture Week 2016

Sanchita Kalra, 22 Jul 2016

This is part of a series of posts on Top Picks for Brides from India Couture Week 2016 – see the rest of the posts here.

India Couture Week (ICW) kicked off with Manish Malhotra's show yesterday but it's Day 2 of ICW that blew my mind!

Anita Dongre showcased her newest bridal collection labeled 'Epic Love' which is perfect for brides who want to wear a traditional outfit on their wedding, but are happy to experiment with contemporary silhouettes.

The designer's signature gota patti designs in the form of flowers, petals and leaves on silk silhouettes were inspired from the Mughal gardens. Even the runway took inspiration from a garden of a royal palace in Rajasthan with water fountains, a jhulla and pink bougainvillea setting the scene.

Although we have seen gota patti work on bright reds, pinks and oranges in Anita Dongre's earlier collections, there was still plenty to love about what we saw last night.

Here are 20 of our favourite outfits from her show:
