Right from the colours and themes that Subhashree (the bride) wanted for every wedding function to the stunning decor ideas, she owes it all to her Pinterest boards. And guess what? On her first visit to the The Lake Resort, she clicked pictures of every nook and corner of the resort and made Pinterest boards of decor ideas that she later shared with wedding planners and decorators!

Here Are All The Ideas That YOU Can Use For Your Wedding

Mehendi

Subhashree wanted a fair kind of a vibe for her daytime mehendi, so the front area of the resort was transformed to a carnival instead of the typical Indian mela like scene.

What The Bride Wore: Bright pink and yellow lehenga from Abhinav Mishra, earrings from her dearest mommy and mathapatti from Soranam by Sonia Malhotra.  Subhashree was also inspired by the Coachella Fest and wanted gold tattoos on her feet which were ordered online from here. And being a traditional Odiya bride, how could she let go of alta on her feet? So, mehendi, alta and gold tattoos on her feet. That's the way to go, girl!

Subhashree also got a necklace but it looked too loud while dressing up, therefore she decided to use it as kamarbandh. What an idea. Girls, are you listening?

Hindu Wedding

Subhashree and Jonathan had wedding ceremonies according to both Hindu and Christian rituals. For the Hindu ceremony, the baraat arrived on a boat. So you can imagine, it wasn't just an ordinary Aryasamaj daytime wedding. Yes, that's right, the groom actually made his entry on a boat with his family!! Christian Wedding & Reception

Subhashree always wanted a wedding in the middle of the forest and this beautiful Christian wedding actually took place in the midst of the woods. The forest behind the hotel with the use of gorgeous decor bits and pieces was beautifully transformed into a spot where you could exchange vows. And there was a chandelier placed in the middle of the forest! Could it get more magical than this?

What They Ate: Hotel did most of the catering and rest was taken care by the Pots and Stones cafe in Naukuchiyatal. The yummy gooey Nutella naked wedding cake was baked by the couple's friend at the hotel's kitchen.

What The Bride Wore: The bride's outfit (Raw Mango) inspiration comes from a white and gold saree colour combination that the MIL wanted her to wear for an Indian look. Earrings and handcuffs purchased from Euremme.

From Where Did The Bride Find Pinterest Kind Of Decor Items? Since it was a destination wedding taking place in a small yet beautiful town of Naukuchiatal, half of the decoration items were carried all the way from Delhi to the resort. Rest of the decor items were locally procured by Virus Entertainers, a wedding decor company based in Rudrapur in Nainital.

Who Took Care Of Food? It's a pretty common sight to see the hotel staff being adamant when it comes to letting the guests cater food from outside. But The Lake Resort happily recommended, 'Pots and Stones', a new cafe close by the hotel to cater the continental affair for some functions. And rest of the catering was done by the hotel itself.
